I recently went to a local B&M that I have said time and time again that they were an awesome shop. However the last 2 times I was there, the past was the worst shopping experience I think I have ever had. The shop, is DFW Vapor. I have told several people to go. From now on, that will never happen again. In fact it wasn't just the experience, but the quality of what I got was so not the 'norm' from them. Plus the people were plain rude, and overly price items. I purchased a couple of juices, one was exactly how it should have been. However the other had NO TASTE at all. This couple with the fact that when I walked in. Instead of a greeting, hey how are you, hi, no what I got was what are you getting? What? are you serious? Not a how can I help you? This is just plain B.S. Ok, the employees are(deleted), then I noticed there was, what I thought was the new Joytech eVIC. I asked if I could see it, not buy it, just see it. The 'salesmen' rudely said, 'Oh, this isnt for sale, but if you want to make a $1,000 donation to Salvation Army he would think about selling it to you.' Are you (deleted) kidding me? Well, I did get to get it in my hands, nowhere mentioned on the device was the joytech name or branding. Plus it felt cheap, and FAKE. I was so ...... off at this shop, that I will not ever go back. I am encouraging anyone to not shop there. They have gotten full of themselves and don't care about the customer anymore. I understand that the point of a business is to make money, however isn't the point of this kind of business customer service too?!?!?! I honestly encourage any vapor to stay far away from DFW Vapors. They offer cheap knock-offs and me and my wife to say the least are done with them. I will not step foot in that place again.....

Dang, that's just ridiculous. Never have I had a good experience with a b&m store, I don't even try anymore...

What's funny is there is a 'new' b&m in my town. I stopped in a couple of times. The owner, is super nice, has lots of room in the shop. And seriously is willing to work with you on flavor and accessories. If he doesn't have it, he'll try to get it. Furthermore, he is a REAL Joytech authorized dealer. I think if I have to go to a shop, it'll be that one. As of right now, he is open only certain hours.....which sucks for now. Never again DFW Vapor.

That is what I would expect from a store here in California, not in Texas.

One thing I notice when I'm in Texas is the Hospitality, thank you's and you're welcome's become common place.

Sorry you had such an experience, what a bummer!

Thnx!! I've found the same too. Honestly I have never experienced such a poor customer service in my life. Even the people at the the corner store have been nicer!! No joke, done with DFW Vapor. I'll PM you the other shop in Lewisville if you want. I don't the address, once I get it, I'll hit you up!!

Dallas is too far north to be Texas. I won't go near it. Dallas is Texas' LA. But trust me, we can screw a customer as good as anyone, statewide. :)

You should call the store owner and tell him/her this. Maybe you can add btw I have a huge mouth and I am going to tell every single family member and friend about this experience :D (it works). Most of my adult life has been spent working in stores. You treat your customers great because they pay your check! How bad would it suck to walk into a store like that, and not know anything about e cigs?

Try Vaporescence. They have several shops. The one I went to off of 75 was great. The people there are very laid back, want to help and explain, and super friendly. They aren't as cheap as some online places but it is a B&M so to be expected.

Use Google Maps: maps.google.com, search for "vape,YourZipCode". It lists quite a few places. And don't forget that many cigabut/cigar stores now carry a wide selection of ecig stuff.

Thanks. I do know of a shop that is starting to open. Prices are decent. So I may shop online for a bit. But I'll check them out too! Thanks

this summer I visited a shop in the dfw area (none of the ones mentioned). the vendor has an internet presence too.
I was not not not impressed. the people were, in my opinion, rude and uninterested. a newb came in and while she was waiting I started talking to her, telling her how great vaping was, etc. the salesman didn't seem happy that I was talking to her.
they will not see my business!

Im slow... what is a "B&M"? Is it a store name?

I have been experiencing the same treatment at my "local" vape store. I walked in once and the guy actually said "You Again?". I tried to shake it off as a joke, but it just felt like I was a pain to them. I am new to vaping and depend on them for knowledge. I had bought a kanger cartomizer, at their suggestion, and was experiencing problems with leaking. I asked him "do i need new wicks?" and the guy helping me said "yeah that might be the issue" as soon as he said that, his partner (mr YOU AGAIN) looked over at the guy helping me and said "Man, you could have just sold him another whole setup." Right in front of me. I looked at him and mentioned the "you again" comment and said "You said that like its a bad thing i spend my money here". Ever since that time, I do most of my vape shopping online. Yeah, it sucks, but I dont want to be made to feel like I am bothering anyone who doesnt want me there. Its sucks too. I told my wife tht now when I buy juices, its a crap shoot. At the VERY least, at the walking store I could sample before I bought... Oh well.

Just to play Devil's Advocate, let's not knock our local shops because of who they hire to help them out.

I often say that the problem with vaping is that it's got two extreme ends and no middle: you're either a hobbyist and have not only learned the differences between an atomizer, a cartomizer and a clearomizer but you also have an opinion or preference as to what resistance they are, or you use Blu or a Blu-alike. The tricky bit for vape n00bs is evolving from the latter to the former without either spending an arm and a leg on the way or getting turned off by the poor price/performance ratio of devices on the Blu end of the scale.

Point being that going to a vape store is like going to the record store used to be: it's hard not to run into bored kids who're not only positive that they know more than you do about the topic, but also often resent being on the side of the cash register that has buttons.
