I am amazed! My daughter had surgery on Friday and I expected to stealth vape at best. My daughter said it was ok to vape because she had asked in August when she was hospitalized. Sure enough we were allowed to vape in her room and I even had a nurse asking about it because her mother is a smoker. I didn't vape elsewhere but was so pleased this was allowed!

I was shocked too. It made this experience SO much more bearable. I am hopeful this will someday be the norm. We are home now and on the way to recovery.

Im glad also you daughter is recovering. If a person ever really needs a crutch its in a hospital with a loved one!

Hope all is well with your daughter. I had a friend about a year ago who got moved from the ICU to a normal room (he got attacked and stabbed by a random guy while sitting on his porch) and him being a smoker, kept trying to go out for a cigarette but they wouldn't let him and kept giving him weird nic inhalers. I showed up and gave him my ego and got yelled at by the doctor for having him vape in a hospital. After about an hour or so another doctor came in, after hearing about the offense committed, and then gave my friend his own personal ego kit so that he could not only stealth vape in the hospital during is extended time there, but also to help him quit smoking when he gets out. It was awesome to a medical professional who looked passed the stigma and regulations to help someone not only hurt themselves by sneaking out for a smoke but to try and better their life in the future by giving them an alternative. (sadly my friend went back to analogs :( )

I am glad to hear your local hospital is on board. A friend of mine is a nurse in a pediatricians office and said there was a mother chain vaping...lol in the exam room the whole time she was there! They didnt stop her but I do think it was a bit extreme.

I am surprised they did not stop her. There is a time and place for everything and that was uncalled for. I would not vape anywhere in the hospital out of respect for others but being allowed in her room was awesome! She also vapes or I would have been in the bathroom doing it. Vapers need to be respectful.
