Hello,

I just picked up some VG juice and it requires me to prime the atomizer more than the PG juice. Unfortunately this causes the atomizers to get a bit warm, sometimes a bit too hot to the touch. I haven't found anything about this and was wondering if this a good thing or not. I have a RN4081 (SE Gold) and a 510.

Thanks!

Also, build up can cause the atty to run hot on this model. Remove the mouthpiece, leaving the atty connected to the battery, put the LED in your mouth and very gently push air up through the battery, activating the atomizer. If there is residue on the coil, this will clean it off. You should see a light vapor.

IMO, this is the best way to clean your atty (for this model) and depending on the juice, it depends on how often you need to do it. You will know because your atty will be sluggish or it will get really hot.

I found that my 4081 runs cool with a high concentration of VG. I'm running 36mg, cut 50% with VG. No more than 4 long gentle drags at a time, and about 2 minutes between.

Before I found my groove, I was thinning my juice, and found my atty heated up quite quickly.

JD, I'm running about 10-11mg depending on which one I use...my VG liquids are running at 10mg while the PG stuff is running at 11mg. I'm not really, at this point, cutting the PG but the 10mg stuff is all VG from what I've been told. It does seem to take a primer puff or two with the auto batteries to get a good load of vapor....haven't tried the manual battery yet.

Not too sure about increasing the mg strength but I'm not getting much of a throat hit with the VG (as expected). I just don't want to go too high tho as I do use them at home, just lounging. I may try to use a high mg for the 510, which is my main "outside" vape while the RN4081 is more inside the house and is vaped more often.

Just keep in mind, that when you add VG, you cut down the nicotine level. The more VG, the less nic. By cutting my 36mg 50%, I'm vaping 18mg.
