Hot Spring?

My Hot Spring collapsed last night. I have been vaping with an HH357 901 with an adapter for a few days. SB got hot and spring collapsed. Noticed that the center pin on the SB was pushed down further than it should be. What could have caused this? Never had this problem before.

Could be a short or the battery was POSSED.
