HOTCIG DNA200?

I have the one I bought Memorial day still in box but I did open to confirm It is the Version 2. Version one was only offered in Black. Version 2 has Black buttons, improved coating and although I did not take the pack apart to check, should have the Fullymax lipo and I can say they added magnets lower on the pack inside to help hold the battery in place.
Ecig employees probably have no idea there were two versions.
V1 was discontinued shortly after the Battery packs went from $26 to $45 in response to Evolv threatening to stop selling the boards to them due to quality issues with battery, coating, & buttons as they did not want Hotcig ruining the reputation of the DNA200.
I believe a Deal was struck that improvements would be made, existing inventory would be sold and thereafter Evolv would only sell them the board with the Fullymax Battery to ensure they would not sell off the HotFire batteries they had. Hotcig took the loss on batteries and raised the price in the packs to try & recoup the loss as I understand it.
I thought it was a great deal at $120 when I first got mine (preorder FT) If I needed another 200 I would jump on the Ecig deal...almost did anyway. It's a pretty good piece.
There really shouldn't be any of the early ones around, the ones with the SS buttons.
I bought one on memorial day and have it here at the house. It is white with black buttons and has DX200 pirinted on the battery pack & is a V2.
V1 was not offered in colors, only black with Stainless Steel buttons and did not have DX200 printed on the battery pack. Packs were printed with DX200 to indicate they contained the Fullymax batteries. V2s had Black buttons, improved coating, were offered in colors and had DX200 printed on the batteries & extra magnets for closure.
Ecig.com only started carrying them a short time ago many months after V1s were discontinued to comply with the Evolv demands for improvements and the customer service lady has no idea what she is talking about when she says that. She is telling you the box does not say V2 on it - and it wouldn't.

Just finished chatting with the online support person at Ecig.com. According to them there was some confusion earlier with one of the representatives caused by someone trolling. The confusion was temporary and they do confirm they are selling the V2 units pictured on the website. They are also double checking all inventory in the warehouse as a precaution, just to insure that no V1 units were slipped into their inventory by their supplier.

Sorry for all this confusion people. This is what happens when people troll on our site. Just to reiterate, we are in fact, carrying the Hotcig DX200 V2
Oh well that's good to hear then! I thought it sounded weird as I posted this on another forum. I hope those people weren't the cause of any trolling.
Well since it comes in colors other than Black, I knew it had to be V2. On top of that Ecig.com has been straight up with me on every order and has great CS to boot! They are not a shady place to business with in my experiences.

Absolutely and I concur to this statement. I tried to resist the urge on getting more Vape equipment and the like. But finding out the deal and who it was selling didn't last very long

They can be a little rigid in their following of their business model and can be very difficult about bending the rules a little for reasonable legitimate reasons in the name of customer service sometimes, but other than that, never had a problem with them and had some great deals along the way.
Lasted a lot longer than I thought it would.
I ran in to a customer service issue at Ecig.com that was along the rigid lines I posted above as they were beginning to sell out that was not resolved. The matter has been escalated to a higher level of management so hoping for a positive resolution to insure I get the last one.
This mod flew under the radar for quite some time outside of here. I'm amazed that there was still stock of the white in the wee hours this morning. Honestly wasn't too surprising as I ran into several people proclaiming it was a knock off chip.
Yeah, There was a group trolling to discourage others from buying so they & their peeps could snatch them up.
Looks like I finally reached a satisfactory solution with Ecig.com management and successfully got the last one. I didn't realize the company changed hands in January and there is a new management team.
Would've tried flipping that deal by bringing it back to Shanghai if I was state side. Seriously, 55 bucks for that thing...
