First, a clarification/caveat.

This is not an invitation to test.
The toughest dead guy is still inferior to the wimpiest live one.The wimp that's alive can actually snap a whole toothpick in half, while the dead guy just lays there. Perhaps a weak metaphor, but I am sure you understand what I am saying. Be safe.

That being said:
I personally haven't tried/vaped anything beyond 30mg . It was a vendor created juice and I noticed the "too muchness" of it, at least for me, nicotine wise. I regularly vape 24mg. It's enough for me.

That being said, just out of curiosity what's the highest strength you've vaped? I have heard of people who vape beyond thirty mg regularly, but thought I'd present the question here

I started with 36 mg three weeks ago and was shocked at how many vendors don't carry it. So I've bought several 24 mg and I honestly prefer the 24, but am still using the 36, but the throat hit is intense.. I much prefer the gentler no hit of 24mg. I'm not sure anything less say the 18 is a hit at all. So I wonder if my throat is still numb from smoking. I see reviews on 18 mg juice and they say the throat hit is strong and I just wonder if maybe I don't know what throat hit is then. Honestly only the 36 mg really ever feels like someone hit you in the throat. For the life of me I don't know why people rave about throat hit...seems like an odd thing to want in a juice. But 36 mg 80pg/20vg will give you a hit for sure.

P.S. I smoked for decades and never once heard the term throat hit and surely never had a cig make my throat feel like that.

Started with 24 but soon dropped down to 18. The 18mg stuff, from certain vendors, sometimes seems a bit much but I'm not sure if it's the nic level or the specific flavor or what. So lately I've been getting 12mg stuff and even 6mg. Sometimes I'll DIY my own at 8 or 10. I'm still trying to find my "sweet spot".

Started at 48 but weened myself down to 30-36 depending on the juice. If the vendors don't want to sell above 24 I'll just take my money else where. Most of these "gourmet" vendors are not that great from what I have tried of them any way.

24mg although I know there were a few times in the early days when I would chain vape nicotine level in my blood would have belied that as would the greenish tinge I developed. Since just vaping too much 24mg made me queasy I have not had an inclination to try anything more and not had a nic craving pushing me in that direction. I actually will back down to 12-28 with few special flavors that I thin taste better with a 'softer' hit.

the disposables i got started on, NJOY kings, claim to have 45mg.... i dont know if thats accurate though because i chain vaped them non stop my first week of quitting and lived to tell the tale

That would be because people severely over stress the danger of high nic liquids around here

Rolygate posted about this- (new users and using mini ecigs)

Intellicig have introduced a new highest retail nicotine strength of 45mg (4.5%). This is because their clinical trials with mini ecigs (and three trials by others such as Vansickel, Eissenberg, Bullen) showed that beginners with minis, using regular e-liquid strengths, had zero or very little nicotine measurable in blood plasma nicotine level tests.

They are likely to receive an MA for this, some time this year: the marketing authorisation that allows them to sell the product as a licensed pharmaceutical. This tells us that 36mg is not strong enough for some beginners with mini ecigs; the blood plasma nicotine tests don't lie. ...

100mg from a 50/50 bottle. I actually ordered it for adding to a liquid I like that's only available in 24mg, and yes it was disgusting by itself. Also taught me that VG is that thing that tastes super weird to me in juices and makes their smell linger. 48mg (Vanilla-Cream-Caramel-Coffee E-Liquid) is what I vape all day/night and is the only one I really prefer to cigarettes.
