How about turning on the "Thanks" function of vBulletin?

I've moderated a few vBulletin forums before, and one of the features on a forum such as this is the "Thanks" function.

Each post has a link in the bottom right to "thank" that post for its accuracy, degree of help etc.

This is a good way for noobs such as myself and others to see who is TRULY providing "accurate" information as well as helpful posts.
To many people, post count=intelligence. Their post count more than likely just mean they talk alot

This is a GREAT feature of vBulletin and honestly I think it would be a great addition to the forum.
