2 of the 3 cells in your lipo drops below 2v (1.10v and 1.20v) and it took you 3 USB recovery attempts in escribe to get those cells back to >2v and the battery pack actually flashed error in escribe diagnostic tool a few times.

Are my lipos permanently damaged? The mod is charging now via a wall charger.

i was going to write this :

"I'm not sure the connector is relevant. batteries that are over discharged will deposit metal as they discharge on one of the electrodes. This reduces their capacity and ability to recharge"

LIPOS don't tolerate abuse well, but it really depends on your ability to monitor those cells from now on to make sure they are healthy that matters and that depends on your vaping.

If you are punishing them to death with extreme power demands, then you make a choice and toss them and buy new ones or not!
You never said how they got that way.

they came this way. bought a lavabox mod that I believe had the old firmware from evolve that discharges the lipo even when its idle.

I do have the option of returning it, but got it for a good price and really like the mod. I don't really vape at extreme wattage, highest I ever go is 75W on an RDA with dual claptons. Usually around 40-50W.

What would constitute an unhealthy lipo cell? If theres too much of a variance in voltage?

Permanent damage has been done to a cell that has discharged as far as you report. The internal resistance will now always be higher than it was. Whether this represents a cell that is now useless for how you vape depends on what the internal resistance actually is compared to the current draw you impose on it.

The fact that you have somehow gotten the cell to take a charge- which could have resulted in a fire had things gone wrong- does not mean the cell will be okay or even useable. It may not hold a charge for a reasonable length of time before being depleted.

TL/DR I would recommend replacment.

zippy and turnigy come to mind. volcano doesn't ship to shanghai? go to hobbyking.com, they have a large selection of lipos. i do know the hcigar vt200 1300 mah lipo will fit inside the lavabox. there's a video of it on youtube somewhere. justa few options for ya.

edit.....just make sure your new lipo replacement dimensions, if you aren't going with the OEM fullymax 900 mah, aren't going to screw you and end up not fitting.

Thanks a bunch, going to try that.

The battery doesn't seem to have connectors however.
you'll have to cut then re-solder the old jst balance connector and xt30 from your old lipo to the new one. cut one wire at a time, obviously, or you'll dead short the lipo cutting all the wires from the old lipo at once. i'm sure you already knew that tho.
