How can you tell if it's a real Kanger EVOD VV battery?

After looking over a lot of sites and Kanger's as well i'm still not sure how to properly distinguish a "real" EVOD VV battery. On Kanger's site the pictures show 2 different styles. One with EVOD VV on the barrel of it and one that says "KangerTech EVOD VV". And a lot of sites show pictures with "black button's" opposed to the chrome ones. And they all say Authentic or Genuine. My info is coming off popular sites only too... (VaporAuthority.com, Sun-Vapers.com, DiscountVapers.com, Sweet-Vapes.com). And should they come in a box?

Hi BigCity... welcome to the asylum.

Back when I used eGos and clearos, it was less an issue in that there were fewer forgeries, and they weren't too good. Now, the forgeries of all the major brands most popular products are excellent... save perhaps innokin.
The markings on genuine Kanger can vary by market and date of manufacture, so you can have two identical PVs with two different sets of markings.

You can:

Contact KangerTech aka Kanger, via the KangerTech USA site or KangerTech Facebook page and ask them about the potential vendors you wish to buy from.

buy direct from KangerTech USA. You may pay a bit more, but you know it's genuine.

Hi and welcome!
All Kanger batteries have the Kanger stamp on the bottom (the twist base) the Evod vv has a slightly larger button that sits flush with the battery. If you are not sure about the vender and do not want to get a clone you can order from trusted sites or directly from Kanger for a little bit more (like maybe $1-$2 more than "discount" sites)

I can't speak for the vendors you listed, but I can say I have ordered from
Quality-Vapor | Electronic Cigarettes, E-Cigs, E-Cigarettes
Several times for a total of
4 evod vv batteries,
2 mini pro 2 tanks,
2 mini pro 3 tanks,
4 packs of replacmemt coils for each (mini pro 3 uses a double coil where the pro 2 is single coil) And all have been geniune Kanger products with a product authenticity code.

Appreciate it... Ended up ordering an MVP V2... loved my EVOD Starter Kit so much that I had to upgrade to a VV device that's where this thread came into play. I wanted a Kanger EVOD Twist but didn't want to risk getting a knockoff so after spending even several more hours looking I finally came along an MVP V2 for ONLY $40!... So I had to grab it up especially seeing as it wasn't much more than what I was going to buy in the first place.
