I've been expiramenting with my Blu to get the best out of it. I've noticed that once the cartridge gets to the last little bit of liquid it stops working as well. And I hate to waste the liquid (I'm probably not going to buy any more cartridges from Blu, so I want to make the ones that I have last) so I found a tiny dropper and I've been using that.

I've tried the drip method and put a couple drops on the atomizer, and I've tried to just shove my dropper down into the cart and squirt a little more liquid in there.

I'm failing miserably... using both methods I still seem to be pulling liquid out, onto my lips, and sometimes into my mouth. So my lips and inside of my mouth in places are starting to burn a little.

So erm.

How dangerous is direct contact with the liquid? lol

Just guessing, I would think that it would depend on the strength of the liquid. The lower strengths would not burn as much as higher strengths. In any case I would not think that you would want to get very much straight liquid in your mouth. Welcome to the forum. I am pretty new here also so I would imagine someone could tell you more than I can from here.

make sure your cartridge is free of any liquid when you are dripping. I've noticed when I get a mouth full of juice, it's juice that has collected in the cartridge from when I flooded it 30 minutes prior instead of juice in the atty. Just take off the cartridge and blow into the end that you put in your mouth on to a paper towel and wipe off the end that goes into your atty. That may help you in the future from getting as much juice in your mouth. As far as the juice hurting you, I've gotten a mouth full of juice several times and the worst thing it has done to me is make the inside of my mouth and/or tounge (whatever had direct contact with the juice) kinda numb and tingly for about 10 minutes.

If you've ever used smokeless tobacco, dip, snuff, etc., then you've swallowed nicotine. Your stomach may get a little upset if you're not used to it, but it passes fairly quickly.

If you've ever eaten mass-produced food, then you've swallowed the other ingredients.

The real problem, here, is that you are having a hard time making your e-cig function correctly. Don't worry, I had the same problem, and I know how frustrating it can be. It sounds like you may be "flooding" your atomizer with too much juice.

Have you read any of the threads in the "Cartridge Mods" sub-forum? <-click link] I've never owned a Blu, so I can't be much help, but someone there may be able to give you some good advice. Just ask! :)

I've never been able to get any of the cartridge mods to work for me, because:

1. I vape very heavily, and it's difficult for any filling material to wick liquid to the atomizer quickly enough to keep up with me.

2. I didn't realize at first that I was using a level of nicotine that was way too low for me, so I was vaping too hard and too frequently.

3. I hadn't found a juice flavor that really satisfied me.

4. After spending about 40 hours fighting with cartridge mods, I realized that I didn't want to spend any more time with them.

I finally resorted to "dripping", and that is the only thing that's worked well for me so far. I've "gutted" a few cartridges for dripping, meaning I've removed the innards and cut the bottom from the reservoir, so you can see straight through it (like a tube). I use the cartridge as nothing more than a mouthpiece, to separate my lips from the atomizer. That way I can drip 2 drops of liquid straight through the cartridge without removing it. 2 drops of liquid on the atomizer will give you a few good vapes. You'll be able to tell when it's getting dry with a little practice/experience. That's when it needs 2 more drops.

If it seems to work for you, you may consider getting an "e-pump" [link] from Johnson Creek. I've been meaning to get one for myself, because it looks like it would make dripping a little easier (no bottle cap to remove).

No, I actually didnt. :(

I feel sheepish. But I will try it next time I want to attempt to refill a cart.

I found a vid on YouTube that shows what I am talking about Sallana. Maybe if you watch it you ahve a better ideal of how to go about doing it and it will not seem so hard to do. :)

Ahh, one of those types of cartridge. My first e-cig was fairly similar, an NPro from NCig. I was mistaken about atomizer flooding, you're just missing that tiny little reservoir, it's very hard to hit without a syringe. Once you miss the reservoir, there's no where else for the juice to go except in your mouth.

Caution about dripping with an automatic battery (one without a manual button to push): Do not over-drip, and flood the atomizer. Excess liquid can leak through the bottom of the atomizer, through a hole into the battery, and destroy the battery and/or the automatic switch inside.

Hey thanks!! This vid was real helpful! Do you have a blu? If so where do you get your e-juice just so I know what has worked for others.

Thanks again!

Sorry about that...

You probably haven't messed up the battery, if it's still working. You can remove the atomizer, and blow through the other end (the end with the LED light) into a paper towel. If juice comes spitting out of that little hole in the threaded end, you'll know you've been getting some in there.

A lot of people drip with autos, you just have to be more careful about not flooding the atomizer.

I still have my Blu as a back-up :). Still works. As for juice, try VaporKings.com or TastyVapors. They both have great e-juice. :w00t:
