Hello everyone! Yet another new guy adding to your impressive ranks. I brought my first eGo ce4 yesterday ahead of a night on the beers. I've tried quitting numerous times...hopefully for the last time now! Drinking for me (and probably quite a few of you) is the biggest trigger and I honestly didn't expect this vaping thing to distract me from my beloved analogues. How wrong was I? I wouldn't go as far to say that I didn't think about a regular cig last night, but my ecigarette kept me from running to the nearest 7/11 in yet another moment of weakness.
i just have a few questions for you experienced people and please don't hate me if you've heard these before...
1. Inhaling techniques. I've read that due to the vapour being thicker than analoge smoke, it doesn't reach down to the lungs. Sme say that to get a better nicotine 'hit' its advised that you keep the vapours in your mouth and exhale through your nose. I've tried the second technique and find it tastes stronger, not sure about the nicotine effect though? I do miss the throat hit vaping this way though. How do you vape?
2. Girlfriend questions. My girfriend (non-smoker) is curious to this new obsession of mine. I'm trying to piece together some good reliable information for her to show her that this is a justified, clean and excepted way of quitting smoking. Could anyone here point me out a source of information that I can show her. I just want her to be as happy as I am that I've found this replacement and not smoking anymore (only 1 day so far, but its looking good!).
Other than that, I love a good forum and hopefully one day, I'll be able to answer some questions here too...

1) Biggest, stay away from triggers that make you think of analogs if at all possible O_O.
2) Inhale technique, I do a short to mid primer pull, inhale into lungs, then take my big long, slow pull until close to switch time out, hold in mouth, inhale, then exhale through my nose slowly or mouth. Remember, the nic in vapor is mainly absorbed in your mouth, back of the throat, and nasal passages the most, barely if any in your lungs. This technique I use gives me all the cues I got from inhaling analog smoke, you still feel it in your lungs so that part is truly fooling your mind as it is getting smoke there, and you still get an decent cloud on exhale. Exhaling through your nose also enhances the taste, because 1/2 to 2/3 of taste for people is in the smell tbh.
3) I don't have any links to show, but there are so many threads in the forums, especially the health sections I am sure you can find a lot of information there in these forums. But here's a few that I am sure she we be interested in seeing->
A) Tobacco breath will be gone along with the taste she will not have to deal with when kissing you =)
B ) The invisible chimey cloud in your hair and on your clothes won't be stinking up the place
C) Won't be stinking up the car
D ) The other 3,999 other chemicals you are no longer injesting, especially the MOAIs, amonia, acetone, tar, etc, etc you are not exposing her to in second hand smoke, and if she, you, or you both have kids, the kids are no longer being exposed to any of these any longer as well.
