Hello, introducing myself, I've been a smoker since I was 17 , I'm now 35. I've smoked about a pack a week, usually socially. I've had my first baby this year and want to quit totally for my health. I've been reading this forums and have found lots of encouraging stories of how it has help people quit. I like the nicotine hit so , I want to try something safer for my body. I usually smoke a cig or two at night as a habit, never during the day.. E cigs are so overwhelming to choose that after much hesitation and reading I decided to choose this set up for night vaping ..( Will this be ok for me? Or do I need backups like other people say? I've always smoked light cigarretes ,so I chose medium nicotine ..is this ok?

Hello and welcome to ECF, congrats on not only venturing into vaping, quitting the death sticks but also for the baby!

I would suggest another battery, I know You would only vape at night so having one to use while recharging the other is not the issue, but a back-up is always a good idea. I would also pick up a few more tanks for the different flavors You will have, won't have to worry about switching when the mood strikes You.

 You chose extremely well!

Joytech is one of the recommended name brand ego batteries. Choosing the Twist will give you the option to adjust the vapor to your taste and flavors you use. Correct battery charger. Nice variety of flavors, and an appropriate nicotine content for your smoking history. The Kanger Protank is on the expensive side (Kanger Evod is 1/3 the price), but a good performer.

For as little as you smoked, you can probably get by with just one battery, however the vapor's creed is to have backups for all of your mechanical gear. You should get additional juice delivery devices (you chose the Protank) and get some replaceable atomizer heads to prolong the usefulness of your tank. You could get the less expensive Kanger Evod at 1/3 the price of the Protank. It uses the same replacement heads as the Protank. You can find You Tube videos on how to clean your tank and replace the heads.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy!

I used to smoke Camel Lights until I decided it was time to put those away, switching to Marlboro Lights, to Ultra lights, then to zero.

[Insert some line about how that didn't work here]

I used the Blu for about a month, then switch to a pv. I got the Protank Mini (not the II), It is easy for me to refill with minimal errors. I recently purchased a backup battery that is a 900 mah vv. I put it on the 3.3V setting to just get the flavor of the liquid (zero throat hit for me) The 4.8 setting is way too much (burn tasting after 2 puffs), the guy at the store said he uses the higher setting in the mornings and after that on a lower one. 3.7 - 4.3 is good enough for me. Actually 3.7V provides me a satisfying throat hit Been my first experience (yesterday to be exact) with a different battery type.

as fundoodman said get a backup battery you will need it, someone else suggested the same thing on my first post and oh boy they were right

My two cents
