I was doing some internet shopping and happened to see an ad for the Blu electronic cigarette. That caught my attention and I stopped shopping and started researching everything I could about this smoking alternative. I had never heard of vaping nor have I seen anyone with an ecig.

I smoked for over 35 years and really enjoyed it but also knew all the negatives about it for me and especially my husband. He has MS and second hand smoke really aggrevates his symptoms. After a few months of intense internet research, I realized that there were much better products than the Blu so I decided to go with the best... the Volt starter kit. That was 6 months ago and with the help and support of this forum, I haven't looked back since.

I don't remember how I became conscious of ecigs, but I went online to search. I wasn't very thorough (I had a lot less experience doing online research back then), and wound up with V2. Not too bad of a product, but overpriced and under-serviced ( I'm being very reserved, here), at least in 2011. Rumors of a very, very good 808 blank cartomizer brought me to SI. I soon bought a battery, and I was hooked. I wouldn't recommend any other vendor to a new vaper. It was several months after I quit smoking before I joined ECF, and found this excellent forum.

I was browsing the web and stumbled upon a safecig ad. I was immediately intrigued by the concept. I had no intention of quitting cigs but instead wanted to use the ecig indoors so I didnt have to go out and smoke in the cold. I got the kit and immediately knew I could quit smoking and over the next 30 days slowly substituted vapes for cigs. The safecig battery was disappointing (although the cartos taste was yummy) After week 1 I found ECF and quickly decided an 808 would be the best. Thats when i stumbled up Smokeless Image and one other local 808 vendor (juices are USA and taste like ....). Long story short I never looked back. I still have a smoke once in a while drinking with my friends at the bar, but honestly its tastes like ...., and usually 1 is enough to remind me.

Well, it was New Years Eve and I was watching tv. Why I was watching tv on NYE...don't ask.

I saw a commercial for Blu's. I said what the heck. On New Years day, I went to a local smoke shop and bought the only e-cig they had. I think it was a Encore. It did the trick but I wanted to research this whole thing. I'm a research nut!

Among first search results that came up was ECF!! I knew there had to be forums on this stuff, there are forums for everything.
ECF had become somewhat of a home now. Haven't touched a .... since Dec. 31st.

[EDIT] I should add that SI was the first site I bought hardware and juice from. Still the only site I get hardware from.

Oddly enough I'd never paid attention to the blu cig commercials I think I kind of tuned them out or all commercials in general to be honest. One day I was at a company meeting standing outside with a group of other managers smoking when my district manager comes outside & starts telling us about ecigs while smoking his ego. He was a 2 pad smoker & he'd quit. Still really didn't trigger anything for me. Then my best friend had her baby shower & I walk into the nursery afterwards & her mom is smoking a ecig. Now that's what struck me. Her mom & I had often shared a cig together & I was so shocked to see her with this thing. I was like wow!! I couldn't believe it! So I started doing my own research. I still wasn't convinced but I was interested but not interested enough to buy yet. It couldn't really work for me...right. Fast forward a couple months later, I found this site but was kinda overwhelmed with information but I was doing my research. Then a couple of weeks later I find out one of my moms good friends passed away from lung cancer at the age of 55. I'd been smoking since I was 15 & I'm now 30. That was all the push I needed right there in that moment. I placed the order & haven't looked back since!!

I saw a Blu e-cig ad, and the voice to my left said, "Maybe you should look into that."

So I did. After one Blu disposable, I started thrashing around to find something that actually worked.

At this point, that's mostly an X2 1,300 with a T3 clearto on it. But I'm open to suggestions and looking forward to the automatic VV when it comes out.

My mother bought a gas station kit (yeah it was horrible) said it was helping her. She gave up vaping; me and my better half decided to try but we wanted to get the best. got what we though was the best so bought it had issues started smoking again. Bought an Ego because we heard that was the best along with a homemade tank from some place online(didn't know the difference or even what a tank was for that matter) was about to give up vaping again because I couldn't find anything that wasn't messy. Finally a B&M opened up few blocks away and they showed me some mid grade equipment. Ever since been a vaping fanatic!!!!!!! I've learned tons from this community since, and feel I've almost outgrown my B&M.

A friend of my children's came over with his Volt, and I was intrigued. Within days, my daughter's fiance ordered a kit for me and for himself. Now my daughter is on the Volt bandwagon! That's THREE smokers in one house who conquered the stinkies, thanks to Volt and SI!

Cindy that is Awesome; Just to think of the savings of not only one or two people but of three!!!!!!!!!! I keep trying to ease my mother into vaping but I cant seem to get her actually into it (hoping the sinker will land her though.) I know if I can get one of the three to steadily vape at mothers the other two would slowly follow............

I was at a conference standing outside smoking when a lady came up and was vaping a V2 disposable. We talked about it and I went home and immediately bought a V2 kit. I tapered myself off of cigarettes. I vaped during the day at work, and when I got home I'd allow myself 3-4 cigs a night. I did that for about a month and I was sitting in my garage one day having a cigarette and thought gee, why am I still smoking? So I had my last combustible on 12/2/12.

I found ECF and other vendors with all of their goodies. I'm now into mods and making my own juice. I have given some of my V2 stuff away to smokers that want to quit. So far, I've turned 4 people on to vaping and I'm looking for more!

Was watching a movie (I forget the name) and seen a character in the film was vaping. I had wanted to quit smoking for years so that night I went to walmart and bought the Mystic Kit. After 24 hrs I found ECF, and then Smokeless Image. That was 9 months ago or as I like to describe it, 4250 cigarettes ago.

I had seen and tried some random Mall Kiosk e-cig and it was nice, but the $180 price tag put me off. A few weeks back I noticed that my local Walgreen's had Blu Disposable's for $10 (as well as starter kits) and figured I'd give it a try. I fell in love with the idea of vaping within and hour. Luckily my OCRD (Obsessive Compulsive Research Disorder  ) kicked in and I ended up here and placed my first order from SI shortly thereafter.
