The anti analog nazis were getting so smug I had to find something to piss them off and keep them awake at night, and this is perfect.

Now I happily blow vapor rings in the bar, clearly enjoying myself, and they look like they are going to have a stroke holding in thier rage.
Life is good!~:laugh::vapor:
Finally, another person with the exact motivation that led me to buy my first e cig...definitely worth it.

I had been trying to quit and failed miserably time and again. I smoked Chesterfields in the womb, houseful of smokers, had my first .... when I was 10. Been at 2 to 3 packs a day for decades. 56 years of smoking, directly or second had, oh yeah, plus 9 months. My sis tried to get me down to the shopping mall kiosk this past Christmas to buy me vape for a gift. I dragged my feet.

Then very recently at a fantasy football site of all places, there was an E-Cig thread in the off topic forum. I was amazed at the success rates these folks had. I determined to give it a shot. Thankfully, I bought from V4L and here I am, day 3, from 2 1/2 packs a day to zero overnight. With cartons in NY now costing $96, what choice did I have? Suicide, rob banks or... vaping.

^^THIS

I, like many other people, had been a courteous smoker. I stepped away from the front of buildings when going out for a smoke. I made a concerted effort not to bother anyone around me. I carried around air freshener, hand cleaner, and mouthwash. I never, ever smoke around children.

And yet people would look at me like I just wiped filthy shoes across someone's nice clean carpet. Constantly. The "look". Telling me how awful a person I was. It was the perfect way for miserable people to be nasty to others in a PC kind of way.

Now I'm going to walk with my head held high.

I look forward to it!

I first saw a pv while waiting in the smoking area outside a large clinic. I was there for an appointment, having a cigarette while waiting, and next to me a nurse who worked there was smoking an electronic cigarette. We chatted up about it, but it wasn't until a year later when I saw it once again in one of those scam adds. I dealt with the scam ad, and researched the quality products. Now I'm hooked!

My husband kept saying now and again "you know we have got to quit this" which I tired my best to ignore :) I had hope for Chantix, but those side effects seemed heavy duty. I had seen the PV's a while back and was really excited since it was basically what I had imagined in my head years and years ago as the perfect solution! But when I went online to research them, ran across only negatives (like the FDA stuff) and thought F--K A MONKEY, THAT JUST FIGURES! Here was something that I just knew would work and they say it is as bad or worse that smoking!

So I did nothing for months, then for some unknown reason I decided to dig a little deeper into the PV issue and luckily came across the info from Univ of Boston. Pretty soon I came across ECF. I read and read and decided the eGo was my best option. Hubby was shocked since I had told him my initial research indicated it was a no-go, but he agreed. We ordered everything we could possibly need for months. And I kept reading the posts at ECF (thankfully, otherwise we would have been clueless about using them). Three days later we were smoke free and happily vaping :)

I started around 2003 with the Nicotrol Inhaler. While technically not a PV, it was still a nicotine delivery device. Didn't like that since it basically was like puffing through a straw, no vapor or anything, and I was still craving. Went to lozenges on and off for quite a while then started hearing ads for "electronic cigarettes". So instead of doing proper research I ordered an NJoy. That didn't really do much for me due to its battery life and the tiny cartridges. Came here and found out about 510s around 2009. That worked for me initially but I got tired of having to work at having a battery charged all the time and having to do all sorts of cart mods. So back to the lozenges on and off for about a year and then decided to give it one more try. I recalled from having been here before that there were 2-piece systems that were somewhat well regarded, so I got a KR808. That finally did it for me, though I still was disappointed with the battery life. So a few weeks ago I got a Riva 901. For now I've found my "happy place" and am currently 73 days analog free.

LOL tv commercial, then I search the web and found ECF. O being force go out side to smoke and coughing whizzing ect.... I really hated to smoke any more it hurt and after 25yrs I wanted to stop. Vaping work better then and patch/gum or stone cold turkey. For first time in 25 yrs I can taste thing SOME TIMES GOOD AND SOME TIMES BAD BUTi CAN TASTE AGAIN. Being able to smell it was like being a kid again.

I was reading a thread on a skiing forum with a poll asking members if they were smokers, ex-smokers, never smoked and such. A Green Smoke affiliate spammed the thread but that got me thinking about e-cigs, I'd heard about them but never gave them much thought. I ordered a kit from Green Smoke a week or so later and the day I got it was my last day smoking analogs. After lurking here and joining it I started using V4L which are much better than Green Smoke IMO, but GS got me started. I figure I'l keep the GS as a backup. Usually I find forum spam annoying but in that case I'm happy to have seen the spam.

The wrong way. I don't remember how I started looking, or even if I had heard of them before stumbling across them, but I researched for something like a year before a co-worker said they were selling them at 7 Eleven. I bought one to see if I'd like it, because $20 was much better than $50 for me if it didn't work. It did. I joined the most informative forum that I had seen over the past year (ECF), and ordered an eGo. After joining and buying my first super-mini, I realized it would have been a lot easier to research had I actually joined in the first place.

They were on the counter at 7-11 but the line was moving pretty fast. I wanted to elbow some people out of the way, because they kept blocking my view of the packaging and I couldn't tell what it was that I was looking at... something about e-hooka, something about x-hale..... drat, people, get the freak out of my way! I thought it looked neat except stuff like that usually doesn't contain nicotine and I thought if they DO contain nicotine that it might be something to look into.

*lightbulb* GOOGLE IT!

So I went home and got on the computer to google it and ended up chasing it here....

(funny, I was there buying one of my last ever packs of smokes!)

I have smoked about a pack and a half a day for close to 20 years. And to be completely honest, I didn't want to quit, I really enjoy smoking. I had heard about e-cigs a few years ago, and after doing a little research decided that it wasn't for me. I did not like the idea of having to drip, or fill carts frequently, charge batteries all day, etc. and with what I do for a living, isn't really feasible. So i dropped the idea for quite a while.

To be honest, I do not recall why I researched them again recently. I think I might have stumbled upon a youtube review of the ego-t. After seeing the tank, and how it all worked, I figured that *could* be the ticket for me. I started to search around about the ego and found about 95% positive reviews, so I took the plunge. I ordered the kit and got started. That day, I went from about 30 cigs a day, to about 3. Remember I didn't even really want or plan on quitting, I just thought I would give it a try, so I was pretty happy about it. I normally buy cigs in cartons, and I had about 2.5 packs left when i got my PV. I just finished my last pack tonight, and from now on don't plan on ever smoking another. :)

Started smoking at 14, apparently at 14 you think it makes you look cool. So I was anywhere from 1 pad smoker to 3pad depending on how much time I had on my hands. My kids kept after me to quit and after a while they stopped asking me to quit. Then I felt I had let them down because I hadn't even tried to quit (the one positive was that I never smoked indoors or in cars with my kids). So then I tried various methods, patches, gum, inhalers LOL nasty sprays and finally meds. On the meds I managed to quit for 4 months, well after 4 months the wean you off of that med (which by the way made me goofy at best) and then I started cheating and sneaking analogs like I was 14 again and feeling all guilty about it. The last time I went to my local smoke shop for my next pack they were selling e-cigs. I decided to bite the bullet and try them after I read all the hype and talked to the woman selling them. Luckily I ended up with a fairly reliable KR808. Its been a little over 2 months now vaping and I'm about to celebrate my first birthday in 23 years as a non smoker. I'm not saving a ton of money yet because I keep buying cool stuff but at some point I figure I will...or not LOL as long as I'm not spending 80+ $ a month anymore on analogs I figure Ive got the time

Well I just started back into it yesterday. Bought one of these Magnum epuffer units at the request of my 7yr old who wants to see daddy watch her grow up. Today will be my first full day without a smoke and its incredible. The only thing I'm having problems with is the paper burning smell from my ecig even when I keep filling it with liquid. Might be the brand. and second off I am useless at forums so be forwarned. Even with the junkie brand ecig I can't believe I"ve made it through a whole day...and not killed anyone

I smoke for about 20 years, about 1 and half pack a day. One day I was just trying to find products online to make my room smell good and not smell like ciggys. As I search I saw a free trial for e-cig, search alittle further and pic up a Joye 510.

My sister a non smoker, actually don't understand why I"m smoking, and when she saw the e-cig, to her it's still like smoking. She is like why don't you just completely get out of it. She also doesn't like the fact that it's not FDA approved, thinking I might die from it faster. Then she jokes and says well at least no second hand smoke for me, so only you will die and not me. hahahha But she was just actually worried about what I'm using.

I had heard about them but just couldn't believe it. I watched the Blu video and thought yeah right how is that "smoke? I forgot about and kept right on smoking. Then just like the OP, I was watching the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and saw that woman smoking it at dinner. I thought dang that thing really works! She was just puffing away! I got online and researched and found my 808. Haven't looked back.
