Hi again everyone,

Sorry about all the questions but I'm completely new at this so need lots of advice!

I have the following two tanks:

http://www.vaporfi.com/accessories/tanks/vaporfi-pro-l-ii-clearomizer-tank.html

http://www.vaporfi.com/accessories/tanks/vaporfi-platinum-ii-tank.html

The attomizers the vaporfi sells that fit those tanks are only double coils but from a different post I've learned It would be much better to actually have single coil... I have this battery:

http://www.vaporfi.com/accessories/batteries/vaporfi-pro-variable-battery-1000-mah.html

How donInknow what attomizers to buy from a different company?

I'm not really sure how to find out about the specifications so that I can get the right atomizers that will fit my tanks and not "hurt" the battey, if that's possible?

They look to be the Kanger Protank style dual (or vertical single) coils, but sorry to say, the tanks will only take that dual (or vertical) coil. The coil section itself (The larger round tube between the chimney and the base) is taller than one for a single coil, so the singles won't work.
On the other hand, if you do some looking around online, you can find Kanger Protanks (and Protank minis), the Protank 2, NOT the Protank 3 (which also uses the larger coils) for pretty cheap, as many retailers are closing them out of their stock. I recently got mine for under $10 each (plus shipping).
The Dual coils, or the Vertical coils supposedly give better flavor or more vapor, or both, but I have found that the singles work fine for me, and are WAY easier to rebuild, and thus way less expensive over the long haul.

Nearly everything Vaporfi sell exists made by other manufacturers.

This is why their business is so deeply distressing to some members of the e-cig community.

This means they will charge you $19.99 for a 5 pack you can buy for $8.99 elsewhere and order from China for $4.99.

Vaporfi claimed to be selling some products described as "dual coils", but as we discovered a few weeks ago, even that isn't true. The real VOCC coils are single coil.

http://sweet-vapes.com/clearomizers...14/kanger-coils/vocc-upgraded-dual-coils.html

So - What you need are "Kanger" replacement coils. The bigger tank will use Protank new (better) VOCC coils. The smaller tank should also take the VOCC coils or you could use the old upgraded dual coils.

Somebody will spot if I've made a mistake. (I hope :) )

Wow, thanks... The more I learn about vaporfi the more I realise what a dishonest company they are... I've now learned first hand they moderate their reviews so most of bad reviews won't be posted on their site which is why so many newbies like me take the bait.

Yup. Kanger dual coils - either the silica, OCC (SOCC?) or VOCC will work in both those tanks. When your Pro L tank cracks (and it will crack, VF estimates their life to be between 3 and 6 months) opt for either a Kanger Pro tank 2 (single coils) or 3 (dual, but supposedly singles can be modded for them).

You may also want to start looking for another battery. I have both the Pro and Evod batteries and after two months often found I couldn't get more than 3.8v on either of them unless they were fully charged. For about what you paid for the Pro VV you can get an iStick 30.

The SOCC are single coils with cotton wool for PT 1 and 2. TOCC is for MTS/TS3/T3 clearos.
VOCC is the 'taller' coil to replace the orginal and upraded dual coils.

I like them all, I must say. The SOCCs are basically what we were making by hand a year ago. :)
