How do I fill this?

I got this carto today. Smoktech 510 Dual Coil Mega Cartomizer I figured the safest, most effective way to fill it would be a needle and syringe. But when it was only about half full, it was already leaking out of the bottom. Any advice? My thoughts are maybe I filled it too fast, or maybe I should have been moving the needle up as I filled it.

Also, while we are talking about my new purchases, I ordered this atty. ECS Premium 306 LR atomizer It looks nothing like the picture. It is orange plastic, a little shorter and smaller diameter than my boge cartos, and it has a mouthpiece type thing with a hole in the center, kinda like the ones on the boge, but it seems to be the same plastic and it doesn't seem to be removeable. When I hold it up to the light, the top half of it appears to be empty space. The bazooka drip tip that was recommended for use with it here on the forums does not fit, the inner diameter of the tip is smaller than the outer diameter of this... whatever it is. Did they send me the wrong thing?

I just drip-fill my mega dual coils. It takes a while on that first fill to all sink in, but it works for me. Yeah, with a syringe you should probably pull it up some while filling rather than injecting it all directly into the bottom of the carto, it'll fill more evenly that way. It helps to go slowly, too, so the filler has time to soak up the juice

As for the 306 atomizer, the "mouthpiece type thing" does come off. They are often on there pretty darn tight, but if you wiggle it enough you'll start to loosen it up and be able to pull it off. You'll need to remove this blanking cap in order to put a 306 drip tip on

After ripping apart the top of the plastic piece, I was finally able to pull it off with 2 pairs of tweezers.

haha, yeah you had a real stubborn one ;-) I've had a couple that I would almost swear they were glued on they were so tight, once I just resorted to cutting the top open so I could drip into it as-is. Fortunately not all of them are that had to get into


For the carto filling, a lot of people have methods that work best for them and if you dig around I'm sure you'll find quite a few other options to try, as well

Here is how I fill my Smoktech Mega Dc cartos:

- take both condoms off and fill one with about 20 drops (2/3 to 3/4 full)
- remove rubber mouth piece and insert mouthpiece end of carto into filled condom slowly until it as almost all the way on.
- slowly turn carto over while spinning carto in your fingers and set upright on a flat surface. Let sit for 3-5 minutes.
- repeat with 20 more drops. If any liquid has dripped out the battery end just wipe off. If not drip a few drops in the top until it starts to drip out the end.
- wipe off the battery connection and gently blow through the mouthpiece end into a napkin to clear any excess liquid.
- replace rubber tip, or put in a drip tip, connect to your pv and vape away

I use the same method for refills, but on the second condom fill i sit the carto upright for a few minutes then turn back over and let sit on the mouth piece end with the condom still on in case I over filled it. This helps cut down on wasted liquid and still ensures the carto is full.

These are a little different. There are no condoms with them... what you see in the pic is what you get, sans plastic wrapper. Thanks anyway though.

I just drip filled mine also. Started with 20 or so drops into the top, then flipped it over and dripped into the threaded end. Then repeat until full. Took a while, but it works pretty good. I'm really liking the mega carto so far.

Before I used carto tanks, I filled my cartos simply by dripping into them and waiting, sometimes spinning them around with the battery connecter end covered up so juice would not leak out. Now with carto tanks, I still just drip the juice in to get them started. Wish I could comment on the use of syringes, but a lot of people swear by it.
