How do I get clearomizers to stop spitting juice in my mouth?

I've been playing around with clearomizers (the newer ones with the tubes that don't crack), but no matter what I do they spit juice in my mouth. I have also tried some clearomizers from a different manufacturer and I had the exact same problem with those.

I've really tried everything! This includes repositioning the o-ring and cap, using a ce2 carto "drip tip" instead of the cap they come with, pressing them together tightly, leaving some room between them, getting rid of the o-ring in the middle, using different juices, drawing lightly, and drawing hard. But they always spit some juice out after a couple draws.

Is there some kind of secret to using clearomizers without getting juice in your mouth?

Unfortunately, the secret to using clearomizers is to not use clearomizers. They are pretty crappy at best, and are more hassle than they're worth.

I would recommend a tank of some kind. The new MAP tanks or a Liquinator would be best. Sounds like that's what you're looking for. They never leak, never spit juice into your mouth, and work amazingly.

Odd, I very rarely get this when I use clearomizers and I've been using them for months. I haven't got the new crack proof ones so can only speak for the old CE2 XL's but they rarely do this, if at all for me. If anything my map tank (arry tank) is far more likely to do this then a standard clearomizer. I don't know why this suggestion would help either since they use identiical Ce2 insides... It's the proximity of the heating coil to your mouth which causes this. Maybe try the derilin tip over the normal mouthpiece?

Some thiner juices seemed to do it more then thicker ones I found on my tank, but otherwise it's just not a prob I really have with ce2's. At a guess id say its wicking too fast, try slower longer inhales between drags rather then chain vaping it, allow it to settle between vapes. You could try Ce3 smokimizers. They are bottom coiled and whilst have colder vapour then a Ce2 shouldn't spit into your mouth as they are much further away.

I think we'd likely do better to try to repair the issue the OP is having rather than suggesting everything under the sun that we're using at the moment.

Now...how full are you filling them? It sounds like you're over filling them. Juice that gets into the little tube in the middle will go directly into your mouth. Fill them to just below the inside cup.

I was watching pbusardo's review on youtube for the new ce3...he initially liked it but then changed his mind after using it for a couple days and gave it a thumbs down for the hassle of filling but especially for it spitting at him...he seems to think, the spitting issue comes from excess condensation in the upper portion of the units............

Yes to thin juices will do this a bit more and yes to the condensation, have you modded it already? I find that I get less of it when they are out of box instead of all the things they say to do. Less room in the upper area there is less place for unvaped vapor to condense back to liquid. If you have an extra ring around to replace some of the room if you flipped the cap it might help some. I just deal most of the time because its only if I continually vape and it's way better than dry hits and burning filler.
ETA: And the flavor and vapor beats others hands down.

If, when taking a draw, you notice a distinct bubbling feeling, simply stop, unscrew the clearomizer. Using a Q-tip, soak up the excess liquid from the battery connection. Then blow into the clearomizer from the mouthpiece end, catching any excess liquid into a paper towel; this will clear the air path in the clearomizer. Screw the clearomizer back on, and enjoy.

I agree with this post as well. Try leaving a small air bubble inside when you're filling. This 100% of the time does the trick for me whether I use my attys or clears.

Thank you scalewiz, best advice yet. I keep a small rag next to my computer or some paper napkins in my pocket for this purpose. I use the Liberty-Flights clearomizers so I hope you dont mind if I add some more tips. Not sure if the L-F clearomizer has another name but I have found that filling it more than half way will cause spillage into the tube then I repeat your fool proof method to clean it out. I liked the smaller 2.5ml CM but decided to start using the 3.5ml CM so I didnt have to refill as often. Another trick I have learned for these models is when you hear the gurgling noise you can sometimes turn the unit upside down and take a short drag which pulls some excess juice from the center tube. BEWARE: This can also cause a mouthful of juice if the tip also has excess juice in it or you pull for to long.
I just noticed the date but had wasted 20 minutes writing a resonse I didnt want to waste. :)
