how do I get rid of bad taste from new EgoT atomizer???
I hope there is another way to get rid of the bad taste from the coating the manufacturer puts on new egoT atomizers besides
vaping it off by mouth...Any Ideas? The hot water soak does not get rid of it.
I first blow out the primer - coating the manufacturer puts in - and that so far has been enough. For the eGo-t's I blow through the batt connection end and then take a tissue and wipe the inside of the atty chamber. If that doesn't do it though, I'd soak in 151 proof vodka (Crest prohealth mouthwash is another choice) for about 15 minutes - then blow out in the same manner. I use a cheap, unflavored, uncolored, charcoal filter vodka - Galen's - @$12 and it lasts for months and longer. I put the atty in a sealed glass jar and tip it so the atty is completely covered. This is good for cleaning the coil as well after continued use. It dries quicky, is good for human consumption - unlike other liquids that are sometimes suggested and it has enough dissolving action to clean the coil - sometime 'warm water' doesn't make it and boiling water can strip finish.
Sometimes with the eGo-t's, esp. the low resistance attys - you can get a burning of the
ejuice at the very end of a tank - this can cause a burnt taste and the best way to prevent it is to refill before you totally vape the tank clean. To correct - if you begin to notice it - taking a paper towel and removing the darker liquid residue in the tank should do it. If you go past when you noticed it, it is likely now in the wicking, fluff and coil and a vodka bath is in order as well as cleaning out the tank. Again - refilling before you completely empty a tank will prevent this from happening and it seems that the newer B type/cylinder tanks are less likely to do this - don't know if it's the extra volume or what buy many have reported this not being a problem with the B type attys/tanks.
