Menthol, and cinamon, are really hard to shift out of an atty. Personally I dedicate an atty to both of those flavors, have one for fruits and one for everything else.
Some flavors work fine with menthols (like other tobacco flavors) but most dont.
Some people find an alcohol bath helps but as I dont clean my attys other than blowing them out I cant say if thats a good idea or not :)

It is hard to get menthol out of an atty but not impossible. Boil it in water then run it under the sink, blow it out and smell it. If it still smells like menthol repeat this untill is smells at least a lot less. Take a blowdryer and hit it for a few minutes and try it out. The smell gets stuck in the wick and the bridge. If all else fails remove the wick then the bridge and use it for dripping.

If you have an espresso machine, try the milk frothing, steam making setting.
Hold the atty with kitchens or hemostats and steam all surfaces inside and out.
CAUTION!!! may remove paint but stainless looks cool.
rinse with bottled or distilled water then heat in oven at 200 to 250 F for 30 minutes.
Then prime and vap as if a new atty fresh from factory.
Worked for me.

First let your atty sit in coca-cola (regular, not diet) for about 20 minutes or more... Then boil your atty in water for about 30 seconds or if you're daring like me - 5 minutes and throw a little salt in the water too. Works perfect for me! Blow through on both sides while holding with a towel to soak up the moisture and let dry for a bit and you're golden! (I did this with the 510 atomizers. Also, get those little wick hairs out of the atomizer too, they are worthless, and they burn and leave a NASTY taste, trust me. Mine worked perfect without them.
