Update
I was really bummed about this, more than I can say. Soaking in the mouthwash did get rid of stubborn flavors but, when I picked up the attys to use they all had that minty freshness and I was paranoid about it. Was I tasting menthol...or mouthwash? Was this flavor muted for real, or was it the mouthwash.
Time as has passed and I've primed and used them and they're back to their former greatness but I never, ever want to go through that again so I came up with two great routines:
1. I used to blow exclusively from the cart end to clear out an atty. Now I fold a corner of paper towel into a point, insert it into the cart end and blow throw the connector. I repeat until a blow produces nothing on the paper towel
2. Thank you, Vapenstein! I read his review of Vape the Rockies Atty Flavor Eraser and immediately ordered 20 ml of it and their Purge Atty Cleaner . The former does work for all flavor switches except for Kretek, which can be stubborn. Kretek requires a full monty. I blew out the Kretek atty as described above and then with Purge. This took it all the way back to brand new and ready for priming and breaking in all over again. Good stuff!
