Some flavour are there to stay in coils and will never go. If it isn't gone after a half to full tank the chances are high its there to stay. Whoah, once tried TFA skittles and hated it. Stayed put and had to change to a new coil.
it's no problem to take a coil out and wash it with hot water. only downside = it takes a while to dry.
You could try soaking the coil in alcohol and letting it dry. Not rubbing alcohol but vodka or everclear. It may or may not help, depending on how intense the flavor is, but it sounds as if "vaping through it" is not working out well for you.

I DIY, so I frequently change juice in my RDA. Could keep an RDA on hand to test juices only, they can be inexpensive.I recently bought some new eliquid and I hated it. I filled my tank, tried it, gagged and dumped it out. But there’s still some of the horrible juice on my coils! How do I get rid of this excess juice ( I already refilled it with an e liquid I like) please help the taste is disgusting
My coils are not burnt at all, sorry for the misconception. It’s an ejuice that tastes incredibly bad that I can’t get rid of the taste even tho I’ve refilled my tank with completely different juice and have been vaping it for nearly a day.Everclear works quite well and have used this technique to save ST coils that had not been used very much. It will actually even clean off some of the charred bits as well. I Soak them in everclear for a few hours and then just rinse well with hot water. Allow to dry overnight and they really are nearly as good as new.
I’m afraid it’s a sometimes you can save the coiland sometimes you can’t situation. It depends entirely on exactly what the juice of evil is made out of. There are a few mild solvents you can try, possibly in series, but there just aren’t any guarantees. My coils are not burnt at all, sorry for the misconception. Vaping through would be a titration. (1/10th, 1/10thy of that, etc..). You might need to do it several times. It depends a lot on how taste sensitive you are. Very much a YMMV thing.Ive never had any luck “vaping through” a flavor. Can really piss me off when I try a new flavor that turns out to be **it and I’ve got to throw a coil away. Especially since I use those giant expensive Freemax triple mesh pros!
