Any ideas how to lower the cost of vaping.

I was a 1/2 a pack smoker and that translates to $90.00 a month in California. I want to budget myself to $90.00 a month for E-Cigs.

I have a DSE-801 which I'm happy with, but the batteries keep going bad on me. I'm going through a battery a week. Aside from liquid that is my biggest expense.

They just came out with new manual batteries that are sealed so I'm hoping that will solve that problem. Anyone tried the new Manual Battery for the DSE-801 and can attest to longevity.?

Buying my E-liquid I'm picking up my E-Liquid at nhaler.com for around $50.00 per 90ml (Delivered). I really like their juice so I don't feel like I'm sacrificing quality for Price.

I use the same cart for at least 5 days just washing and drying the sponge so it's not a significant expense.

Any suggestions to save money and get vaping to a reasonable level.

I've tried to avoid the mods because they look like Drug Devices and are so initially expensive. But maybe a Mod for the Home and a regular one for the street.

I do the heaviest vaping at home in front of the Computer/T.V

I would agree with other posters about the mod. Since you seem to be going through batteries, it sounds like the best way for you to trim the fat would be to go with either a battery mod for your home vaping (and use your factory batteries when you leave the house) or go w/ a pass through for vaping at home.

Other than that....vape less??? 8-o:p:rolleyes: <j/k>

tomzgreat Hear you! I loved my 801 penstyle but the batteries were just killing me @$14 apiece. There are manual batteries now @$10, you could check into those, but my answer was my Janty Stick @$80, same atty as your 801, battery ICR10440 @ 360mAh much better heat, lasts about 4 hr per charge. @$3.20 ea. No fading with power, don't start off hot and go cold, they're either charged or not. So I do believe attys work better, longer; more vapor and more consistant worker.
I have to look for things to buy now, I got lonesome not having to wait for the mailman!!

Not dripping just some heavy vaping sessions. Possibility at times I've overfilled the cart. Easy to do with the new High Bridge Atomizer.

I actually have been having problems with over filling my carts and I think that is your reason. I know now when I drag and it starts to bubble like a ...., I take it apart right away and blow out the excess juice, puff on it without my cart for the next 3-4 hits, replace the cart and continue vaping.

As wv2win had mentioned in another post something to the effect of "If your dripping with an auto battery, it WILL die" I guess thats my question here... are you dripping? If so, get the manuals. If not... I have no clue why you run through batterys so fast :p
If that was for me, no, never dripped, dipped, any of that. Very careful to avoid over-filling, lost one battery to leak, never happened again. 801 cart is large enough so no need to top off constantly.
I probably bought 10+ of those darned things, in only a couple months, add it up. Was impossible to maintain.

The suggestions to move 'up' to a p/v that uses regular rather than e-cig batteries was my choice. I had 4 batteries and an atty die in the first 2 weeks with my 901. My manual USB passthrough lasted only about a month - but gave such consistant vaping that I realized if I was to be able to afford e-cigs AND make a total shift away from .... logs I needed something else.

I found a 'used' Screwdriver on the classifieds and it will, in the long run, more than pay for itself. Batteries last 6-8 hours between charging and can be recharged for months -much better than the 901 batteries that can be termperamental or die a fast death.(my longest one lasted 3 weeks)

Re-stuffing carts, mixing my own liquid (don't always need nic in it) and watching for deals on juice (classifieds are a great source) brings my cost per month way down.
I'm figuring probably 2 attys a month - $12
30-50ml juice - $15-25
regular batteries - max $5-7 month.... very generous since I'm thinking it will be much less
Brings my total to under $50/month

If possible, buying in bulk to save on shipping charges is great too (thank you M/C - VISA)

Oh - and one of the biggest things to keep my costs in line.....
being satisfied with the equipment I have - trying all the latest kewl p/v mods sounds like fun - and not in my current budget.
I DID trade some juice for a mod from someone here - a great way to try it out and I trust an awesome backup for my SD.

BTW - my SD is 901 - so the regular e-cig bats I still have allow me to 'go out in public' with a p/v that 'looks' more like an .... log - if I want to.

30 years of smoking
Vaporized by my Screwdriver!
