How do I post a link

Dumb question...how do I post a link to a website or specific page and have it show up in my post in blue? For example..."check out this deal on www.suchandsuch. .com?" to show the picture and webpage, or simply www.such and such.com, to bring that page up by clicking on it?

Whoa! How did I do that when it didn't work on other posts?

Neither of your links work for me, but anyways, you just copy the url to the page you want and paste it into the message.Right click on the url or any other link for that matter, and left click on copy, then in the message when your at the spot you want to insert it, just right click and click paste. Something I was'nt aware of for the longest time is that the post numbers here are links and can be used in the same manner, just right click and copy the post number and paste it into a message and the link will take whomever to that post, comes in handy on occasion. Hope that answers your question.

Or if you want your to hyperlink a line of text you can do it in a couple of ways:

1 - highlight the text and then use the "link" button in the menu bar at the top of the posting window (the little blue icon that looks like Earth with a little chain link at the bottom of it), then paste the link in the dialogue box that pops up

or

2 - just type your BBcode tags manually. inside the first tag, put an = and the web link in ... [url="www.e-cigarette-forum.com"]CLICK HERE [/plain][/code]

That will look like this CLICK HERE



Of course, you can always just type/paste the link in your post and it will be clickable anyway ;-) There may be a couple sections of the forum where this is disabled, but I'm not sure

Thanks bacc.vap and killjoy1!! By the way bacc.vap, that wasn't really a website! Just an example. I knew the answer had to be incredibly simple...many thanks for taking the time!
