Vape what you like and dont worry about the money. You're still paying far less than you used to for a pack of cigarettes.

Having tried several of the 'cheap' ejuice suppliers like Mt Baker (bought a juice that tasted like gasoline fumes from them, even after steeping for a couple of weeks) I realized Im not really saving money by buying juices that are either unvapeable or just so-so because they go into a drawer and are forgotten about.

5 dollars here, ten dollars there, really starts to add up.

The trick to saving money is spending a little more to get a little more. You could also look into some of the juice sales in the classifieds and the pay-it-forwards here. They are a great way to sample juices you may have never tried otherwise and you might find that hidden gem that becomes your favorite.

MTBAKERVAPOR.COM actually will send you a free bottle if you order 4, they average about $4.99 a bottle.

Even at that, I used to smoke a pack a day. one bottle will last me about a week really and I chain vape. The problem is you find yourself buying more than you need because constantly wanting to try more flavors.

Also if you fill your cart and don't buy, you almost instantly receive a come finish your order here is a 10% off code.

From what I understand you actually have to spend $15 or more and you get a free bottle. My orders are only 2 50 ml bottles and I get a free 15ml bottle.

I stumbled upon a cost savings method recently due to limited availability of my favorite juice.

I love Vape4Life's VG Coffee... they only had 24mg available and I use 6mg. I ordered a 30ml bottle for $12.50. I also ordered a 236ml bottle of 100% VG from Mt Baker for $7.99.

So I washed out 3 30ml empties bottles. Used a 5ml syringe and measured out 7.5ml of the 24mg juice into 4 bottles. Then added about 22ml of the VG to top off the 4 bottles.

I ended up with 120ml of 6mg juice that cost me about $3.95 per bottle.

Flavor wise it was just slightly lighter than the original, but not that much. I plan to go DIY someday... this just proved once you get your mix correct it's not that complicated.

I recently quit smoking a month ago and found myself vaping around 5 ml of 6-12 mg per day(70%-100%VG). I buy my liquids from local vape shops for $10/10ml or around $13/15ml. When I used to smoke, I bought my cigs for about $9 for 2-packs and smoke a pack a day. At this rate, I'm spending just as much money on liquids alone as I used to on packs, not to mention the mods/tanks/rda's/batteries/chargers/etc. that I'm spending extra money on.

I want to buy liquids in an affordable fashion but would hate to sacrifice flavor and vape experience. I'm also a little intimidated by DIY liquids with many avenues that things might go wrong. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yep; excellent question that I imagine there are tons of people out there thinking the same thing.

You vape 5 ml or 6-12 mg per day (70%-100%VG)

If you can get 100%PG 24mg at the same price, and mix that 1ml of that to 3ml of USP grade Glycerine from the pharmacy,
you end up with 75%VG @ 6mg.

(Please note that when purchasing eliquid, 100%VG usually means 0%PG, but with something else like maybe 10% distilled water; real 100% VG ends up giving you a stiffling feeling in the lungs).

If you can get some unflavored also, it would be worth trying; if you find you can get along just fine with unflavored, then you get a whole lot more flixibility because there's no flavor to dilute! Then you can save the flavored stuff for special occassion or a special tank, while using something else as your main vape.

$1 a milliliter is just not workable.

One other thing if you decide to order from Mt. Baker Vapor and your order is $15 or more....If you use a discount code, that will drop the price and then you won't have your $15, also if you use a free shipping code, that is subtracted from your $15 total. So keep that in mind.

But if you do have a total of $15 or more in your order, you qualify to get 15 ml free. If you don't specify, they will randomly send you something. But in the comment section near the checkout, you can request which juice you want, and they frequently will send that one.

I understand and respect what you are saying, but everyone's taste is different, and certainly taste is subjective. A juice that one person thinks is horrible may be someone's favorite.

And about saving money, some of us do worry about saving money, because we have to. Especially those of us who are older and retired and on a fixed income. Or because money is tight in our lives for whatever reason.

I love mount baker vapor. Some of their juices have to age/steep for a week or 2 because they mix them fresh to order. So far I have tried about 15 of their juices, I've only hated 1 and I really loved at least 5 and a few others were good but not all day Vapes... But still good tasting. Just remember to try it, if it doesn't taste good, put it in a dark place for a week, then try it again... Some juices take 2 weeks. My husband won't Vape anything but mount baker vapors peach tobacco. That one is ready to Vape right out of the mail. He tried local and other online but he doesn't like them... I just got a huge order in today and got a free bottle. I didn't think I'd like it until I tried it and omg it's my new favorite behind their root beer. It's called vanilla butternut... Omg it's delicious.

Question: When you add flavoring to that stuff, let's say 25%... doesn't that also cut your nic level by 25% also?

A simpler and still cost effective way is to order unflavored nicotine ejuice. Very cheap... Then order their flavorings. Mount baker vapor sells all that too. Start at 12% flavoring, taste test, then add another percent until you reach your desired taste. Much cheaper than ejuice. Easy too.

Ditto. Very cheap way. Mt baker is quite cheap in bulk so find your flavor and go from there. I prefer ECBlends but to each his own.

Awesome! I've always been reluctant to buy from online cause I bought some liquid from viper-vape.com for $12/10ml and took almost 2 weeks for me to get the juice. And once I finally received it, it tasted like medicine.

I recently bought some dejuice from Viper Vapor as well and one juice tasted like medicine and the other was pretty much tasteless. I ordered some DIY supplies today for my first try at it. I would say this will save some $$ as long as i can make some quality juices.

Absolutely. Just remember, mixing your own you will need to steep them usually. Some are ok freshly made, but you'll have to test to see.

Great question! I live in NYC and when I started vaping (which was not that long ago lol), I bought juices from stores in Manhattan. They were averaging in price about $1/mL. About a week or so into it, I was visiting my parents in Northern New Jersey and my brother (who I turned on to vaping instead of those WAY over priced logics) and I went to a local NJ shop for liquids, which averaged about $0.50/mL. Now certain brands are more "craft" (think craft/boutique beer) and are always more expensive, but I think the bigger issue here with the price gap is that in bigger cities (i.e., Manhattan, LA, etc.) there is huge over-head with rent and what-not, so of course their products will be more expensive. Even my Kanger PT2 was $16 in person (in a SOHO shop), and then I saw an online distributor selling them for about $12!! I would suggest this: if you are lucky enough to have vape stores in your vicinity, go in and sample a bunch of flavors, and maybe buy a few to give them the business. If you absolutely love one of those flavors, look online to find a reputable distributor who sells it for less money. Also, many sites do a sampler pack, for instance I got this the other day:

Fruit Sampler Pack

I don't love every single flavor, but I like enough that it is cost effective because I didn't commit to a huge bottle of any flavor. Also, many stores on their own brand do a deal, like buy 3 get one free or something, so that's always a good option, especially if you have a friend who vapes as well and can go halfsies on it, lol. Also, as I see others have mentioned, DIY is always always a good option, just takes a little research! Good luck!!

I just ordered a 50 ml bottle from MT Baker for about $11.00. That's cheaper than the 30's at Vapure where I was ordering. i ended up ordering a second bottle of 30 ml and the shipping for both was only $3.54. I spent 20 bucks for 80 ml thats like 25 cents per ml. get on the e liquid forum and look at the different vendors the talk about.
