That really does help out alot. so if its .30 ml of liquid, and i wanted equal flavors, i would use .15 mls of one and .15 mls of the other? And when i decide to make a 10 ml bottle, should i just double everything?? Im just not good at translating percentages to mls.

Dpowell,

I wanted to make DIY as simple as possible for me without measuring much! So I bought a 60ml empty bottle to hold my stock. I bought 60 mg nic juice and measure 1 tablespoon- which equals 15 ml- of Nic juice and 3 tablespoons of VG. I now have one big bottle of 60 ml of 15 mg nic juice to play with.
I then pour that into little 6 ml bottles and leave head room for any flavoring I want to try:) That 60 ml bottle lasts me a month or so, so I don't have to measure anything again for a month:)

It's so easy to DIY with this stuff. One hint I'd liek to add: PLEASE shake your nic juice well in every step. I didn't and got severely stoned/dizzy when I made my first batch. I think I vaped a little nic pocket of pure 60 mg stuff in my bottle! So shake it really well while diluting with PG/VG and after you add the flavoring.

I've gotten great priced Nic juice from MyFreedomSmokes and VoidMist. And great priced flavorings from PerfumersApprentice.com=)

Good luck!

I am so thankful for people like you all!! I was in the chat room earlier trying to figure all of this out, and people were just kind of making fun of me for not knowing. and buying a kit when i had no clue where to start. but i have to start somewhere and i cant learn if noone will teach me!! :) I honestly love my ecig. I have the Tornado. real cigs do not even compare to the taste and feeling of these!!!

Okay so i tried to make a bottle last night. i havent tried it because i figured id let it set for a day or so. but im pretty sure it didnt turn out right. the syringe wouldnt pull up the nicotine and it has the right ml's listed on it, which is why i wanted to use it. and then the other pipettes i couldnt even read the numbers on it to see where the 2.5 ml was and so on. So i tried to do it by drops. 50 drops of nic and so on. But then that seemed like alot of nicotine. so then i kind of got nervous and put like 10 extra drops of vg. vg is so thick i was afraid it wasnt getting into the bottom of the bottle like i thought it should which is another reason why i put extra. so im kind of afraid to try it!! haha!!! I just purchased some ML DIY spoons off of INDYVAPOR.com though, so hopefully those will help!

No worries... I'm sure it will be fine.

It can be hard to draw juice into syringes sometimes. You can see why I gave you the recipe in drops for your first batch.

If your VG is too thick you can thin it will bottled water. The ratio doesn't have to be perfect. I like to use 4 part pure VG and 1 part bottled water. Shake well for one minute.

Give the juice you made a good shake and let it sit for 2 days. Then give it a shake when you pull it out.

Since you colored outside the lines on this recipe, it is absolutely crucial that you write down EXACTLY what when into the bottle. That way it can be adjusted if it needs to be. Most 1st time recipes need some adjustment.

Your doing fine. You can't learn to cook by only making one meal. It takes some experimentation.

I got some 1ml glass droppers marked at 0.1ml intervals from the local pharmacy that work really well and they fit the 60ml bottles so I leave the droppers in the PG and Nic that I am currently mixing from. They have a slanted tip so it makes it easier to put the PG and Nic into 3ml bottles without blocking the air being displaced by the liquid.

I'm sure you'll get the hang of DIYing quickly and it is alot of fun mixing up different flavors and trying them. I have found that coconut covers a multitude of flavor errors.

I bought the DIY kit from Dawn's (DIY Flavorshack) without a clue -- with the purpose of trying out new things. I am learning. I made a batch of pretty bad stuff, and a few good batches. I'ts part of learning, so have fun with it.
If you are having problems getting the syringe to suck the liquid up, try pouring the liquid into a small measuring cup (the kit I got had about 10 of them in it), then take the needle off the syringe and sticking the syringe into the cup. It should work a lot better.

For the pipettes that you cannot see the numbers, I wonder if a permanent marker would work for those....or would the liquid eat it right off tainting the bottle???? hmm.....???? I'll have to try that later with some I also cannot read and just wipe it down with all the different stuff I have and see if it wipes away (at least I won't taint a whole bottle of juice)
