How do I use this thing?

So I picked up something that looks a bit like this at the local smoke shop today. Guy told me to put some down the middle, where there's some wadding like you'd find in a cartomizer, then more in the tank. Since I was trying it out for the first time, I didn't fill the tank all the way. It's kind of hard to do anything with it without spilling all the e-fluid in it, so I put in some lower quality stuff I didn't really mind losing. There's maybe a centimeter's worth in the tank now, as well as enough to soak the wadding.

So far I've gotten more fluid on my hand than in my lungs. At best, taking a drag on it gets me a small amount of vapor. At worst, it stings my mouth and throat. I'm clearly doing something very wrong. The folks down at the smoke shop aren't the most up-to-speed with the whole e-cig thing, so I figured I'd come here for help.

After filling it I did try leaving it sit for a few hours to soak evenly and whatnot, like you would do if you had a freshly filled cartomizer. Still not doing a lot.

Battery is an EGO-CE4. Should I be using something bigger or something?

well.. first off knowing the ohms of the cartomizer is the first step in vapor production. An ego battery isnt going to give that information. When using a Carto tank, which is what that is, I would highly recommend a vamo, provari, sid etc. then you can check the ohms and adjust the voltage/wattage accordingly.
There's a ton of youtube vids on how to fill a carto, I use the "condom" method. Also you need to "prime" the carto once it's in the tank. You can do this by doing a few quick sucks on the it without firing the battery. Hope this helps at least start you in the right direction.

Also, when taking a few quick "cold" draws on it. You may see some bubbles come up from where the tiny hole on the carto is. This means the juice inside the tank is going inside the carto.

I read the entire Blog when I purchased my first carto tank and have been using them with ease! One thing you really need to get is a carto tank filler, there are several on the market and Baditude mentions them in his blog. Once you educate yourself, I am sure you will like them.

Are U sure?..A CE4 is not a battery that I know of, its a clearomizer that's goes on an ego battery

That's what the thing on the side of the battery says. EGO-CE4. Maybe that's just because when I bought it it came with a CE4. *shrug*
