I have lost AT LEAST 50 springs over the course of Prodigy and Protege switches ... Not to mention atleast 20-25 contact disks and about 200 little latex gaskets

you almost need to assemble them in a (very well lit) white plastic room.

No kidding, I can't count how many tiny parts I've lost at work like that, and when they fly off they always manage to take on some type of camelion type properties, so that they can never be found again.
we use big magnet sweepers when we're working on helis. The parts just disappear into some kind of hawking black hole or something.
I am continuing to find switch parts all over the office- in my purse, on the juice shelf, in boxes of adapters. Haha, they're everywhere!!
I've figured it out! I've got thousands of tiny springs at work, so my guess is that Casey has all those old relay cubes and ball bearings that come up mysteriously missing! And I want my 9/16 end wrench back Casey! it was my favorite
Mmmm, maybe that's wrong with mine. I didn't really mean to take the button mechanism out, but it happened and everything flew everywhere. I put it back together and at first it worked well...now it does sometimes and other times, not. I have a ticket in but haven't had a response yet. I don't recall putting a spring back in.
OK, I THINK I found my spring (good thing I hadn't run the vacuum cleaner before I knew I was missing it). But I do need a picture or series of pics to know how it all fits together. Thanks!
Naaaaaaah... It's like a fountain pen. The spring goes under the button in the center hole to apply force to spring it back up (open the switch)
It is shown at the beginning of this video if you pay REAL close attention...

Well, I guess what I found wasn't a spring...yes, I know what a spring looks like, but you just never know what someone might call something. Anyway, my Prodigy is completely dead now. I updated my ticket to ask if I could get just a spring.
not worth the shipping! go to lowes or home depot and bring the switch. see if they have something similar there?
I have a Protege so I imagine the V2's spring is a bit bigger but..
Perhaps find a spring from a clicky ball point pen? May work until you can get a replacement.
