Hello all,

I've been using RA's for a couple of month's and want to make a wick switch to ss.

I picked up some 325 and 400 mesh and used a old butane lighter I had laying around to do 5
Rounds of burning and dipping into water. I still seem to be having problems getting my coil
To dry burn equally. Using a multi meter I checked for conductivity and while it doesn't sound
The buzzer the number's do jump around. Is that still a sign of a short?

either the meter is wonky or the oxidization/mineralization (passivation?) is incomplete.

Sometimes I can turn the meter on & off a few times and the problem is gone; other times I just repeat the heat & quench cycles and again - problem gone.

That's what it was. Had a chance to check it on another meter with no problems. Thanks for the help!
