I've been using a drop or 2 of lemon juice, let it sit, then rinse with very hot water for a few minutes, blow out and air dry. For the super gunk I've been soaking in apple cider vineagar for 10 minutes then rinsing them out and air drying the same way. I'm a little scared to dry burn! perhaps in a desparate moment I will gather the courage.

That's really a good idea, i'm going to have to try the vinegar trick it's cheaper than everclear. There's no aftertaste hanging around afterward?

DIY Syringe with needle taken off
Shot glass filled about 50% with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol
Suck up the alcohol with syringe, and medium pressure shoot it into the cart side of the atty. Continue several times until alcohol flows freely from battery end of atty. Let soak a bit in the shot glass, then a few more "jets" of alcohol through the atty. Blow it out and let dry. Good as new.
I use standard 510's de-bridged and I get about 3 months of steady use.
For my 306 LR's I just soak in the shot glass a bit, blow out, and dry.
