I have two MVP2's and I "Pif"d both Iclear30's to a friend who really likes them. I thought they worked ok but I HATED the stupid swivel trumpet drip tip! Much prefer my Kayfun's and Kanger tanks, all rocking hand made coils. If I could get a different drip tip for the Iclear30 and it was as easy to rebuild as a kanger coil, I might have liked it more.
I really wanted to like the iclear 30 too. It's not a bad clearo by any means, but I guess I found it at the wrong stage in my vaping journey; by the time I got around to the iclear30 stage, I was already accustomed to a clearo that (IMO) performs slightly better and is even easier to clean/fill.
Clearo-wise, and for what little it's worth, I found the following to be true:
Kanger T2 (long wick) > iClear16 > iClear30 > stock evod > vivi nova > stock mini-Protank >>> stock Protank (2)
Note the word, "stock." The Protanks beat the living snot out of all of the above if we're allowing rebuilt coils and cotton wicks, and the addition of an aero tank base. And the Kayfun wins overall. But for ease-of-use, combined with (what seems to me) the best flavor deliverable by a stock clearo, I keep coming back to the Kanger T2 I got with my first starter kit. It just works, though admittedly it'll gunk up fairly quickly if you prefer high-VG juices.
YMMV. I would suggest that anyone who's disappointed by the iclear, and who has the patience to experiment a little, look into rebuilding -- whether on an RDA (rebuildable dripping atomizer, but make sure it's not plated brass!), a Protank/Evod, or a $100 tank. It doesn't have to be super expensive. Just give rebuilding a whirl. If you like it, you'll have saved yourself a great deal of time and trouble in the long run. If you don't like it; if it's too much work or whatever, then you'll have likewise saved yourself from a great deal of wondering.
