Stalking the wild mailman is an official international ECF sport. This ever elusive creature can be very hard to catch in the wild as they tend to drop packages and run or worse leave cards rather than packages. The most effective post stalking techniques involve a lawn chair and cooler of cold drinks out by the postbox. Be aware however that you will need a relief stalker as well...at some point you will need to visit the little vapers room.

The best, for me, is buying from fastech. There are two rushes. The first when you pick something out and order it. Then over the next few weeks you forget you ordered it. The second rush, on some random day 3-8 weeks later, you get a present when you look in the mailbox. It's just like someone else bought you a present and did not tell you.

I get it shipped to work, and time it carefully not to arrive on Saturday. Never miss the mail this way. There have still been instances of it arriving a day late or a day early and winding up on a Saturday. I hate coming in to work on Monday and seeing the card! Arrgh! My husband however, has excellent vape mail luck. I bought his Provari off the classies and had it sent home, rather then work, figuring it would arrive on Saturday if all went as planned. First time he ever had cause to stalk the mail. Figured it wouldn't arrive and he'd have to wait until Tuesday, as Monday was a holiday. It was a Provari after all, and the ever elusive mailman is even rarer to find when in possession of a Provari. It arrived on time! I was amazed!

I wanted to pound our mail carrier yesterday. He's a 'sometimes' carrier, not our regular one, who's great. This 'sometimes' carrier must be mechanically inclined because he can screw up anything. First off, even though I see 'out for delivery' on one of the pkgs I was awaiting, it wasn't in the mailbox, so I'm cussing a blue streak as I stalk back into the house -- then I see him come BACK, and watch as he shoves 3 pkgs into the mailbox, which barely fit, but god forbid he should get off his lazy .... and actually bring them to the door. So I go back out there, and only one of the pkgs is mine, one is for my husband, and one is for someone else entirely, somewhere on this street. So I go back in, close the tracking page for the one that arrived. The next, that really should have arrived, NC isn't that far from GA, I hit 'refresh'... and see DELIVERED! Except I don't have it!!! So I'm freaking, trying to find a number for the post office, called 2 or 3 before I finally got the right one, and AS I'm telling the lady about my 'Delivered' pkg that I don't have, the doorbell rings, and it's my next door neighbor... handing me the pkg which got delivered to her instead of me! And the one that came here? Was for her!

So I'm really hoping that my call to the post office got that carrier a reprimand at the very least. Better if he lost his job, because he's totally incompetent.

...with the anticipation of waiting for a new mod or other vapemail? I'm waiting on my new mod to come in the mail, and the excitement has me wanting to run around in circles until it gets here, reading ECF posts is barely tiding me over. So how do you deal with 'THE WAITING'?

About the only thing you can do is find other things to distract you from hitting refresh on the tracking pg every 5 mins... it's not gonna help. Every few hours, maybe, though it's usually more than that, between updates to tracking, and sometimes you won't see any update and there it'll be, in the mailbox. Make the day pass, go to bed early, because if you go to bed early, the next day seems to arrive faster -- I learned that trick for christmas eve, when I was about 6. :D

I can vouch ... running around in circles does not help

I love it, you guys crack me up, so glad I joined this forum. My wallet isn't, but I am, you are fun peoples :D.

So I'm thinking two more days and the notice that my ProVari has been delivered will show up...which is a Sunday, which means one more day of waiting likely *grinds teeth*

Wish me luck everybody, if you hear of any stories of post offices being razed and postal trucks being torn asunder, I promise to deny every last bit of it.

AAAAH! It arrived! On time! Earlier than I expected at two days after ordering! Sorry I'm shouting so much!

The leather lanyard was a little stuff and rough, so I rubbed it down with mink oil, for waterproofing and suppleness. I threw the batteries on the charger, where they're charging as we speaking while I wait patiently. I have to work tonight, which should be a perfect chance for a first time vape.
