How do you know your juice isn't full of chemicals?

I ordered some really cheap juice, it's called "tar oil". After reading about safety and what is in juice, i felt pretty good in regards to how safe e-cigs are.

But now I'm wondering if cheap oil can or likely does have bad, unhealthy stuff in it. Any ideas?

Welcome to ECF, LL As a general rule, you should avoid any juice with true OILs in it, as it can have adverse effects on your lungs. And don't worry, a lot of us started out with something inexpensive, as long as you're satisfied with it, its a win. If you start to become dissatisfied, there's a ton of better stuff out there. Just curious, what brand/model of e-cig (PV) did you get?

Throw it out. That is a bad site. It doesn't even specify nic levels or if it was made with pg or vg. Be safe, burn it! Chuck that nasty unknown ejuice..the souce of where you got it from looks very very shady

Looks nasty to me. What made you order from there? Why not start with one of the many fine vendors mentioned here on ecf?

I've found that when it comes to ejuice you definitely get what you pay for.
I wouldn't touch something called "tar oil" with a 40ft barge pole. Are you sure that's not from China?

I know there are several members here that like that juice. Remember that you are dealing with China so their terminology isn't the same as ours.

As far as vaping something like Loranne's cinnamon oil, I do and never had any problems.

I think any liquid with actual oil in it is going to kill your atomizer before you can vape enough of it to harm your lungs. But I can't get past the name. "Tobacco Tar Oil"?!? Seriously? The poor name choice alone would be enough to cause me to look elsewhere.

I started with a kit like that. Battery lasted maybe 30 minutes and was dead within a week. I hope you have better luck with yours than I did with mine. Maybe they have improved in the astounded couple of years.

I just ordered it so it won't ship for a few days likely. Can you guys recommend me a CHEAP alternative? I may just cancel after reading what you guys have to say about it.

My main concern is cost. I'm only a social smoker, but costs were adding up as it was, with packs at almost $9 here is NY.

I would probably opt for buying some oil and doing the lipton tea bag trick if that is the cheapest...

I don't even have to look at the link, I know what you got and I Love It! IMO it is just their way of identifying e-juice to let people know what is is intended for, it is most likely PG base 18mg nic, perhaps 70/30vg, cause it has a nice plume. Having used it for over month now without any ill effects, I think it's pretty good! After all the Chinese people are not out to kill their consumers, that would just be bad business.

liberty-flights.com has some really nice kits. Parts are easy to come by but I don't care for their juices. freedomsmokeusa is who I recommend for juice.

Welcome! Ive read that oil-based juices arent good for atomizers... and I'm not sure Id really want to be inhaling it either! Stick to the more well-known juice suppliers. Most good suppliers will have their ingredients right on the label... BWB, for example, contains only PG,VG, Nicotine, and flavorings...

As far as vaping something like Lorann's cinnamon oil,

that nearly put me on the hospital... guess my lungs are not as resilient. I was doubled over in pain... and almost quit vaping.

My main concern is that you start off on the right foot. Vaping can be very pleasurable.

I wouldn't give that kit away to be honest... it doesn't look powerful or tasty or reputable...
but, you be the judge and let us know...

For a newbie, I'd suggest an ego or riva kit... a few carts, cartomizers and a drip tip.

Some liquid from tasty vapor/ms. T's... alien visions, backwoods brew etc...

$75-$100 - for a nice set up with some goodies... relatively cheap anyway...

or at least a 510/kr808 kit... under $50 for a nice set up...
