How do you know you have a burnt carto, especially when you haven't had the flavor before? I have been having trouble distinguishing between knowing if they are out and if they are burnt. Does the batt have an effect on the carto if it is low?

When the carto runs try, trust me, you'll know it! To tell when it needs refilled, you need to watch/taste for 2 things....the flavor will all of the sudden drop off first followed by the horrid burnt taste.
Hey there...you may want to be careful to not burn out your carto..as soon as you taste that yuk fill her up don't..don't burn them dry...ok....
Once you get that burnt taste, the carto is junk. A couple of signs you need to top off the carto.
1- vapor production goes down
2- very airy draw, more than normal.

How much do you usually use for your first carto fill, about how much/how often do you top off after that? I'm confused because most of the time, when I start tasting a difference, the vapor is still going strong.
The best thing is to keep it topped off. First fill usually takes more. After that, 15-20drops or until it is slushy.
I usually would go more by the airy draw feeling. Here is a video on condo, filling and spin. It may help you.

Get your self a Carto tank you can go a very longtime before refilling Standard size Cartomizer tank holds 3 to 4 mills plus whats in the cart.
