With all the injuries I had in my accident I have found one of the most soothing things for me is a salt bath. I order dead sea salt from EBay. Been using the same seller for a couple of years now. I run my water as hot as I can stand it and put a big cup of salt in the water. Then I just get in and lay back and relax. It really helps relax me and actually eases some of my pain. It acts as a great skin conditioner too as long as you rinse off well afterwords.

eBay Seller: bathandcrafts: Health Beauty items on eBay.com

I usually order 20 pounds at a time and it will last me about 4-5 months. Sometimes I splurge and get some lavender essential oil to add in there. Your body will love you for it!

I am a nut for powders..talc's any of that scented stuff! I love to climb into a bed that has lavender talc sprinkled on it. Yeah you have to wash sheets more and vaccum the mattress pad..but oooo how lovely it is!

I also love flavored coffee's..just a bit here and there. Now that I can smell again, a little goes a long way!

I forgot! Pillow's on the bed..lots of pillows. Fat ones, flat ones foam ones and a few feathered ones for winter.

lol lol poor MaryKay,, to much excitment for my fingers to keep up with my thoughts... meditational audio books by Glenn Harrold,, one that I saw listed was "stop smoking forever" and it just made me wonder since we all vape now if it would still work for nicotine addiction or if would be just about smoking analogs..??? never heard a stop smoking tape before, didn't think something like that would work, having a building fall on me yes that I could be positive would stop me smoking ,,, but not an audio tape.... so you wonder whats on there...:D I just got some relax guided meditional ones... those are always fun trying to picture as they discribing what your surroundings are.. Going to be on country dirt road later tonight.. lol lol:p

I once saw a sign that said "The time you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted time" and I took it to heart. Every day I make time just for me to do something I enjoy. Different day, different thing. One day it'll be just sitting and listening to my favorite music for a while, another day it'll be reading a good book. Since we moved here, it always involves losing myself in the Pacific Ocean and just watching the waves, etc. That one is extremely good for meditation, especially when combined with music.

PatriciafromCO--quick question--Is that a picture of you with your horse?

Isle of Eden sugar scrubs, body butters, bath creams...oh my...I LOVE this stuff. It lasts for ages, but since I use it daily, I get a great variety. These products are made to order, and DO take a while to get, but my oh my are they worth it! (not affiliated, just a happy customer...blah blah blah) You gals REALLY need to check this bath stuff out!

I also get a 50 minute massage once a month. Heaven! I also have a personal chef (but I guess since I'm engaged to him that doesn't count? ;-) )

I also had a jacuzzi tub installed in my bathroom. Worth every penny! 2 times a week, almost as good as a massage, but I come out smelling mucho nicero!

Pamper is the key to being able to deal with the everyday!

It's coffee for me too. In fact, I pamper myself every single morning with my big morning mug.
4 double shots of good Hawaiian dark roast espresso
about a pint of skim milk
a double shot of Hazelnut coffee creamer
and 3 coffee scoops of splenda.

very hot, very strong, and pretty sweet.
That's the big mug I carry into my home office every morning when I start work.
