How do you post a poll?

I went to the poll area of the forum, but I can't see how this gets set up. I used preview, not seeing any kind of outcome as to how my poll will look.

I guess I need detailed instructions on how to post a poll.

Also, is there a way to disable comments? I just want a yes or no answer, with 2 options

As you have found, polls work a little differently than making a post. There's no "preview" option when making a poll, and no, you cannot disable comments either.
