I'm going to have to agree with the "Give it a Day" rule. Once you have your main setup, and backup(s) and don't need to worry about something failing, then it gets just a little easier, just a little. If I see something I think I Must Have, which is nearly everything at this point. I'll use that day to research, compare, and then decide. A few times now I've found that a little research saves me an impulse buy when I should have been looking at something else. These boards have probably helped save me just as much money as quitting the analogs. Then again if you keep track of your budget, and can afford it, it's a hell of a fun hobby and spend away. DIY EJuice is killing me right now. I'm starting to wish the flavor vendors had a Buy All button.. :( Z

Right now i'm only 2 months in so I just buy what I want. I figure you can't put a price on staying away from cigs so if making this a hobby keeps me off them (and it has) then whatever it takes. Eventually I figure I'll slow down but not this month lol. I have gotten a couple of setups that work very very well and I am super pleased with them. I still have a couple atty's I want to try. I think I am set with mods unless I manage to snag some super snazzy ihybrid LE for MSRP. Juice on the other hand is coming in twice a week because I want to try everything. Good luck to you. Just make sure it's not the family budget money lol!

I started out the same way, oohh that looks nice got to buy it. I call it the "magpie syndrome" it's shiny so it must be bought

I have slowed down now, 3 months in. I've set myself a budget of £25 (british pounds) per week - that's less than half what I was spending on stinkies. I was up to about £55 per week when I smoked. Having said that, I've got at least a dozen different tanks, 5 types of battery and enough wick, coil and DIY juice products to last about 6 months now.

The other thing I've started doing now is only ordering from China. Because it takes 10-21 days to arrive, I don't have the urge to keep on ordering, cos I don't want to have more than 2 orders outstanding at any one time. Guess it would be a different story if I was still buying from the local B&M, I'd be there every day, camping out on the doorstep

My problem is there just one thing I need to buy I add more to justify the shipping. what I usually do is order all the stuff I need at one time. About 50 bucks a month. Then I have a piggybank that I put 5 dollars a week into. When that adds up I will treat myself to something...

I got my setup down to a protank and evods. That way all i have to get each month is replacement heads and my juice. I was into carto tanks but I kept getting duds and its easier to clean and maintain the protank heads. I may look into learning how to rebuild some considering the materials would only be about 5 bucks.

I also agree with the "give it a day" rule. I never buy something the first time I see it. I wait 24 hours. Meanwhile, I'll think about it. If it's online I review it a couple of times. Very often I find it isn't something I need or need today. I still waste money now and again but it's a lot less often. I use this rule on everything, not just vaping stuff.
