rinse tank out and use new coil...letting the old coil sit and soak over night and then dry out before reuse...sometimes just rinsing under hot water will clear out old flavors

to test flavors, just place a few drops enough to get wick soaked and maybe a bit more, vape...rinse tank and wick and then repeat with new flavor....
I reuse my same tank and just clean coils as needed until I change flavors then I clean the tank over night and use a new tank.

I've only got a couple of tanks at this point but I've been trying a bunch of new flavors and now I'm not getting the pure taste cuz there is residual flavor left. Do you guys just go buy a ton of tanks or do you just change the atomizer for a new flavor?

A dripping atomizer is the only way to go. Saves money on replacing atomizers and cleaning them after each trial.

These things are the best imo for testing new flavors. Best dripping atomizer (non RDA) I have used, the one I am on now has been going strong for almost 2 months.

I've been considering getting some of these, myself.

At the present time, this is basically what I do. I use a bottom coil clearo, so it's easy to remove and wash out the coil head. I just put about half to 1ml of liquid in the tank, vape it. If I like it, I'll fill it. If I don't, I don't have a full tank to dump out and can then rinse out the coil head. I'll either pass those along to someone that might like the flavor or set them aside for another day. Sometimes the juice gets better over time, sometimes not.

When I first got started with the vaping thing I moved from Greensmokes (a week later gave those to a friend who's trying to quit smoking) to Halo G6 with mini tanks. I bought a couple dozen of the mini tanks when they had them 20% off, thinking that I would be using the G6 forever. But then I ordered an itaste vv3 (maybe I will stop here!). So have all these mini-tanks and the G6 and that is how I sample the juices. Works for me because in my head I haven't wasted any money. And I don't have to mess around with cleaning out clearomizers.:2c:

+1 for the idea of getting a 510 dripping atomizer. They're cheap and easy to clean to swap out juices. It's a great way to test out juices - just a few (4-5) drops gets you a clean, clear idea of the taste.

Some people go whole hog and set up an RDA (rebuildable dripper), but that's a greater investment and some amount of learning about rebuildable systems (a whole other topic). A disposable 510 dripper gets you 90% of that and it works out of the box.

After I've done the drip test to see if the juice has potential, I fill a cartomizer with it to carry around with me for a longer taste test. If I'm liking it, I then fill a tank of some sort. The cartos are disposable - saves me the hassle of cleaning a reusable tank if what felt good in the dripper turns out to suck in the longer taste test.

The 510 dripper should cost you about $6 and last you months. Cartos cost ~$1 (about the same cost of a coil unit in, say, a protank) if you buy in bulk and shop around.

I rinse my tank and coil in hot water. If i have been using a strong flavor i may use a little dishwashing liquid. Let it soak for about an hour and rinse well. If that doesn't work, A vodka bath will. If the coil still doesn't taste right, after a little while it will. It's like purging the pipes. THe new flavor will eventually take over. The only flavors I have found this doesn't work with are cinnamon and peppermint. Once the coils have this in them, that is the flavor to use them with.

Dripping would accomplish this, yes; but dripping will require some money spent towards hardware... especially if you don't already have a mech mod. Even bargain hunting the cheapest mech mod and RDA would still run you $40-$60 to get you able to drip. But then you have to make your coils, which takes a bit of knowledge to do safely.

You could get your local B&M to wrap coils for you for a few bucks usually, but then again, your local B&M usually has a way to sample flavours too.

Another +1 for the 510 atty IMO -- It's the most bang for the least buck when considering (effort • money) / quality of desired result.

or as I like to call it the juice/squeeze formula.
