How do you use PayPal to buy e-cigs?

I'm interested in buying a mod from a supplier that only accepts PayPal. The supplier has informed me that to order I should not mention e-cig or mod and should direct the payment as a gift. Is this the normal procedure? If so, won't my cash "gift" be charged as a cash withdrawal on my credit card and charged as such?
I went ahead and established an account with PayPal, but am feeling some uneasiness about ordering. I understand the suppliers directive--particularly after reading another posters story on this forum a few days ago describing PayPals police actions against him when he openly ordered e-cigs with PayPal as the method of payment.
My question is: how do you guys work around it. I assume I'm making a bigger deal out of it than it is.

If you use paypal, and list E-CIG or tobacco in any shape way or form, the seller may have his account suspended....and you might too.

That is why you are requested to do this.

I've done this when purchasing two seperate mods. It's the cost of getting what you want.

Dont send as cash gift because if the seller does not ship your item you cant get the money refunded.

Go to Pay Pal and open an account with your credit card. Do not accept debit.

I've been requested twice to not state E-CIGS etc and mark as gift from two reputable vendors. I see nothing wrong with it as they transition into better payment options.....but I sure wouldn't do it blindly.

I've bought several times through PayPal and never even seen a place where I could even mention what I was specifically buying. Just paid for merchandise or goods, or whatever they call it. Never had a problem.

It normally just asks me for 3 options goods, services or gift. Thats it. Never has it asked me to list what it is.

I personally do not use Paypal...And do not recommend PayPal for any e cig transaction....Because if you use it, and PayPal finds out about it, they will FREEZE your account....This is a well documented fact here on ECF.....Please be careful using PayPal....

PayPal is fine if you dont mention ecigs.

Using the gift option is NOT fine. I would say for purchase of merchandise/goods. Using the gift option gives you no leverage for recourse if there is a problem with the transaction.

The Paypal issue seems to only apply to US sellers. Is it really true that buyers will get their accounts frozen when purchasing ecigs? I've used Paypal all the time to buy ecigs from China and the items listed are clearly ecigs or ecigs related. Have never had any problems.

I don't think I'd want to send a "gift" either. Sending money for (for instance) non-eBay goods is one thing, but you can't file a claim that you didn't receive your package if you sent a gift. He or she may be circumventing fees this way, which is fine and dandy if the transaction goes well.

I think where some folks ran into trouble (besides official e-cig companies that were obvious) was when the buyer made comments in the comment section that specifically referenced e-cigs. If I, as an individual, sell you some juice and in the space for "send seller a message," or whatever it is, you say "thanks a ton for the great price on the nicotine juice," it's a red flag. Make sense?
