I've seen many different ways people will smoke their e-cig...

1. The traditional analog method - (Drag directly into your lungs, then after you've had your fill, breath in slightly, then exhale)

2. Semi traditional - (Drag directly into your lungs, then after you've had your fill, exhale without first inhaling normal air)

3. Take a drag into your mouth, then inhale everything in your mouth, then exhale.

Here is where my question lies... Do you guys think it's necessary to inhale AFTER taking a drag? I find that I have MUCH less vapor if I do that.

i always take a drag in my mouth then inhale.. if i inhale directly into my lungs i cough constantly and it burns HORRIBLY ... i could never do this when smoking anything i would inhale.. even if i take very little vapor in it burns like no other... i have no clue why it doesnt burn the other way around

Same here. My friend lives by doing it the traditional way... I find that doing a drag into your mouth, then inhaling that is much more pleasant that the traditional sense... I personally don't like burning my throat -.-

I also drag into my mouth and then inhale. That is the way I smoked and that is the way I vape. I never did direct lung inhale. Don't think I would like it at all! That said...I still get vapor...more...a lot more with mods. Even 3.7 with a protege will give you volumes of vapor. Also a pass thru gives a lot more vapor than a reg e-cig.

You are about to find out that direct inhale into the lungs is NOT the traditional way.
In fact, a fairly small percentage ever even smoked cigarettes that way.

Yeah, I know, right? Who knew?

Growing up smoking other substances, I never even imagined there would be another way to smoke.
But apparently I was in the vast minority, directly inhaling into my lungs, and didn't even know it.

Check out these threads, and no, they are not the same threads...

My god... That's the way I smoked my analogs from day one... And my four best friends do it that way too... I guess we were just an isolated case =X

I never directly inhaled cigarettes into my lungs! Ouch that would really hurt. I take a pull into my mouth and then into lungs. Holy crap maybe that's why cancer has been rampant! LOL

Inhaling directly into your lungs with a cigarette doesn't hurt me at ALL... But I'll tell ya what, inhaling directly with an 510 sure does =X

I fill the lungs up on a normal. Bringing this up made me try the different ways. Hard to break a habit I found once again. Yummy did seem to get a better taste holding it in my mouth a short time though. But also now have hit it to much and feel not so good.

Personally, if I want a more instant hit, I just fill up my lungs as much as possible (despite the burn) then breath in slightly without the e cig to my mouth. Then breath out... This decreases the vapor majorly, to where it looks like I'm breathing out just a normal analog hit.

So I like sticking with the good ol mouth hit, then ghost it, then exhale =]

I actually used to do it differently than almost anybody. I would pull smoke in mouth and then inhale it with air from my nose, keeping my mouth closed. I stopped after the normal way became habit but doing this with my pv now gives guaranteed throat hit which is nice. The other way I get throat hit is by letting the vapor cloud out of my mouth and sucking all back in. Otherwise I just don't feel it so much. Anyone else do any of this?

So are these analog lung inhalers smoking filtered or unfiltered? Seems like a chore to directly inhale filtered cigs.

I would guess that the vapor/smoke cools a bit while its in your mouth. But I don't think that tells the whole story. I know there's one thing that I never had problems directly inhaling no matter how hot it was.;) Maybe there's an inherent harshness in nicotine that your body needs a chance to prepare for?

Wow, I didn't even think that was possible when I read it so I had to try it. Very interesting. A little weird. :D

When I was smoking analogs, I would always direct inhale into my lungs... Did it that way for 25+ years (one pack/day habit)...

Now with e-cigs (510 manual bats), I vape more like I did when I was using a tobacco pipe. Suck in a mouthful, then inhale into my lungs...

I've also been keeping better track of my e-liquid intake for the last two weeks:

Amount used; 15 ml of ECOpure 25mg - works out to only about 1 ml per day. Some days more (almost double... my "pacifier" days), some days less... But this is how it's worked over the last two weeks.

And oh by the way..... NO DESIRE for analogs! Smoke free for over a month!

This is the best smoking alternative ever.........
