I find with my provape 1, I am very sensitive to battery drop off, so have been worried about unregulated mods. Which is why it was backing up my MVP, until the USB charger broke. The VMOD looks perfect, except for that.

Any idea how much longer a power curve stays fairly steady on a VMOD with a 18650 is compared to a 14500 unregulated mod?

A fresh 14500 with a Viva Nove 1.8 is great, it just drops too quickly

Concour with your assessment ArrowRoot !
My 18650 in vMod XL and mechs, go on and on, really strong for six, seven hours.
My vMod 2.0 uses the 14500s. Really only good for two or three hours of my style of vaping. (heavy...chain)
Now, it's a much smaller battery and to be expected. I just carry an extra battery for both..not a problem.

Oh no!! I hope you can get a new USB charger and it's not the port that's broken. Any generic charger should work fine.

I think you may have discovered for yourself why 18650 is such a popular size battery for mods/apv's. The use time before drop off is considerably longer on the bigger batteries. Super T Manufacturing has a bunch of charts you might find interesting showing different batteries and drop off times.

Of course, one can get a very consistent vape with a vari, too, regardless of battery size and mAh. But, generally, the bigger the battery the longer the device will work between charges.

Can you tell me a little bit about the draw on the vmod XL is it airy like the protank? I want to try one of these but worry it might be just like all the other devices I have and don't want. Thanks

The VMod has a screw under the atty that regulates the flow of juice and the ease of the draw. If you open it all the way, the draw is very airy; if you close it all the way, it is very tight. It's easy to adjust. The REO has no ability to regulate the draw. I have a REO but haven't used it for a long time. The VMods I use every day. As for the warranty, Vapage has replaced two of mine without ever asking for a receipt.

+1 on that. I love being able to adjust the screw under the atomizer! It makes a WORLD of difference! Another reason I love the Vmod! I have the Bogger Box (have I mentioned that before? :p ) and it can not be adjusted for airflow. It does make a difference!
