How does each part tell you it needs replacing?

Sometimes as the hubs and I are vaping it's like the battery is dead but it's not, or that the tank is empty but it's not. Hubs replaced his atomizer yesterday but when we purchased these they said the atomizers should last 3 weeks only his didn't even last 1 week. He also had the issue of his tank leaking yesterday. I believe he has the Ego-C type VCT Starter Kit - Black and I have the mini type VC52-T Mini-Tank Starter Kit - Black ( WAY too small!!). How do we know when parts are old or bad? We also ordered this Ego-C in hopes that it's the same as what he already has now and I am going to switch to this and we can share batteries and other parts.
Are they the same? Thoughts? Tips?

When I notice a difference in my vaping the first thing I do it switch out the battery. If that doesn't help then it's the atty.
In regards to the tank leak issue; you should give the ViVi Nova a shot. I've had mine for quite some time now and haven't had any issues with leaking. I have the vivi nova 2.5 version from Gotvapes

The ego-type attys work well, but can be leaky. Also, atomizers have a very unpredictable life span. They can last anywhere from a day to months. It depends on how they are maintained, too. I think that cartomizers are a lot easier to someone who is fairly new, or at least worked out well for me when I started off.

Your ejuice can also clog up your atomizers, making it SEEM as if they're dead. Go to youtube and see if you can find videos on how to clean your particular atomizers and how to dry burn. If cleaning and dryburning is too much work (cuz it sometimes is), just accept the cost and short life and toss it out and don't worry about it.

Man i remember these things (the carts) and i also remember my frustration with them. Try this before you buy anything. Get a freshyly charged battery and one of your "dead" attomizers.

Take paper towel and blow through the battery connector of the attomizer into the paper towel till you don't hear gurgling.

Put the atty on the battery and just drip 5 drops directly into the atty, wait a min then drop a couple more drops. Put your drip tip on and vape, probably about 5-7 medium draws or until the vapor gets weak again. If its gurgly then you put too much in, reduce the drops you put in.

If this works the your carts are probably flooding your attys, if so then consider buying different atty pieces, your batts are probably fine.

Personally id recommend the rebuildable stardusts or gotvapes stallions. If you get the stardust id also get the ego adapters just in case.

Steven... I am looking at this site and I don't know what I am looking at, like I don't know what this stuff is. The problem with shopping for new stuff is that it is hard to make an informed decision when I am not sure what is what.

Just go to mad vapes.com

Steven... I am looking at this site and I don't know what I am looking at, like I don't know what this stuff is. The problem with shopping for new stuff is that it is hard to make an informed decision when I am not sure what is what.

You are going ot get a ton of recommendations from people who have found what works for them.

1. Boge cartomizers by themselves are probably the most reliable means of vaping aside from dripping onto an attomizer (that has a bit of a different learning curve.) Boges have their own learning curve, how to fill being the most prevalent. (use a long blunt needle on either a needle bottle or a syringe)

2. There are a ton of new items out everyday, some are great some are crap. If you want to get into these items I'd recommend doing a lot of research, but right now what seems to be the most popular for their simplicity and cost are the rebuildable stardusts or vivi novas. These also have their issues, flooding which causes weak vapor but high heat and throat hit. I have recommended these to most of the people I have converted and they are still happy with theirs.

3. If you want to stick with the cigarette form factor, which there isn't anything wrong with, another recommendation would be Gotvapes Stallions, they are a hybrid of a clearomizer (stardusts and vivi novas fall into this category) and a cartomizer (boge). You can clean them, and some people have had 1 working for weeks at a time. You will need a long blunt needle to fill this with though, dripping wont work with the way they are designed.

4. As far as vendors, there are a ton of them, madvapes is good, so is liberty flights but recently (last 6 months) i have switched most of my hardware purchases to gotvapes.com. They have a VERY active forum with many helpful people. You wont be able to get boges from there but you can get the stardusts and stallions. I wouldn't really recommend anything else simply because everything else requires "fiddling" to get to work. Stardusts, vivi nova and stallions require little to no fiddling out of the box.

5. as for juices, good luck there are a ton out there (if you want I could recommend some but I'm not sure where your tastes lie) and the only thing id recommend is start with samplers and (this is personall preference) I'd stick with US "handmade" juices.

As someone who struggled through the beginning stages of vaping, starting with ones similar to what you're using, I also highly recommend the Stardust cartomizer. The rebuildables end up being cheaper in the long run. Yes, they're bigger than a normal cigarette, which I didn't want either when I started, but trust me, I think you'll be much happier over time, rather than spending a year (if you're persistent) in trying different things to get where you ultimately will want to be.

Because of vaping, I've managed almost a year now (day after Christmas) 98% cigarette free. I still occasionally break down and smoke a regular cigarette, because my husband is still smoking, and from time to time, the urge gets too great. I can live with a couple of cigarettes a week...compared to 2.5 packs a day pre-vaping.

The eGo-c VCT starter kit is what I started with also. Those atomizers last me a while if I keep them clean, which means cleaning before they get too dirty. A good tutorial on how to do it is here. A jewelers screwdriver is a small screwdriver like used for glasses repair. By hemostat I read tweezers, though a small needle nosed pliers will do just fine. I also use pliers to help take off the wick plate after getting it loose with the screwdriver. When dry burning the atty, short pulses of power from the battery, just until the coils turn orange, repeated often is better than a long burn. If you hold the power on too long, you will burn out the atty. The pictures show very nicely the difference between a dirty and clean coil.

You can tell that it needs cleaning when vapor production reduces, the taste changes and the draw gets harder.

Hope this helps.

If you want to be a very happy vaper then just bite the bullet and purchase a Joye eGo-C Twist Variable Voltage 650mAh Battery

and also one of these MINI Vision Vivi Nova Tank System - Plastic Tube

and one of these to cover the threads that will show eGo Cone Cover for DCTank

and a charger eGo Rapid USB Charger

Don't forget the coupon code A8NQL for 10% off. (to find coupon codes just google the name of the site plus the word coupon).

Then just fill and vape. Enjoy! P.S. you can use your other set as back up while this one charges if need be.

ok, so I have seen this vivi thing many times and since I have seen no photo's of it actually put together I am not sure what I am looking at, does anyone have any photo's of these parts put together?

PBusardo does a neat review of the Vivi Nova here. Your batteries are smaller than what he is using, but you can also buy a smaller version of the Vivi Nova - it comes in 2 sizes. You can also add an adapter like this to make things look better.
