How easy/hard is it to replace/take out and LED on a 510?

just wondering how hard it is to take out an LED on a 510 and put in another color

its tricky. patience required.

I've done it (white LED). It's micro-soldering so you best have the right equipment and a steady hand. A magnifying loop is also in order if your eyes are suffering from the ravages of time.

It's much easier to swap out an entire LED PCB assembly (board).. but then you'll need a donor of the correct color.

Be careful with the polarity too!
