After 17 years of trying and failing to quit i finally broke down and decided to try an e-cig about 17 days ago, smoked an analog on the way home that day, and flushed the remainder of my smokes when i walked in the door... charged up my ecig and have not smoked one single analog since that moment.

yes, it is a miracle

im still not convinced these things are completely safe, but i feel 100% better, and my teeth are actually getting white again :)

I've been vaping for about 2 weeks. I'm still smoking 4-8 analogs per day. I can see myself going without cigs but still weird not having an analog with my morning coffee or after a meal. It's mainly those "special" cigs that are difficult to cut out. Although I'm still trying to find that "happy place" since I've found a flavor I love and I have a box mod coming from madvapes which will hopefully do the trick. Right now I'm using a bloog auto battery which just isn't doing it for me but the cartomizers are amazing.

Don't force yourself to just use a PV . I smoked about 5 analogs per day for the first 2 months which was better than the 2 packs I normally smoked . 3 months analog free ( well almost I have the ocasional one for old times sake but I don't enjoy it )

It took me about a month or so. I'd go 5 or 6 days without a Pall Mall, get the urge, buy a few packs, etc. I was determined to make quitting with e-cigs a natural experience, gradually finding out that I preferred e-cigs instead of going into some monumental quit smoking battle.

My counter in my sig is my actual non-tobacco numbers. It's the time since I had my last real cig. It's time since I seriously considered a real cig.

Because I just joined this forum I couldn't post on the thread on giving up tobacco... so I'm just going to post here. I quit smoking four days after getting my first e-cig!!! I've smoked non-stop for the past 27 years -- I never developed health problems that would have encouraged me to quit (I'm young looking for my age, have low blood pressure, strong heart, strong lungs, etc.); however, finally developed a polyp on my vocal cord that I have to have surgically removed. I had to stop smoking tobacco two weeks before surgery to make sure it healed properly . I was desperate because I did NOT want to stop smoking. E-cigs are an absolute miracle. Absolutely. The first two days I smoked 8 or 9 organic smokes and "vaped" the rest of the time, the third day I had one cigarette, the fourth... NONE and it's been that way ever since. On that fourth day I took one puff of my American Spirit and it tasted like metal and I immediately put it out. That is amazing after such a short time. I know this must be boring to people who are electronic cigarette aficionados, but I have to tell someone!! I am so excited and so happy... I still get to puff away, but not rip up my vocal cords with burning plant material! E-cigs are the best smoking cessation tool ever.

Smoking didn't bother me much the first 30 years but that is about when I began to notice it was affecting my breathing but I continued to smoke until I eventually was diagnosed with COPD and it will catch up with everyone eventually if you live long enough. I tried to quit many times but couldn't stay quit until I started vaping and then I quit immediately and have now been off cigarettes for 18 months. By the way the VA doctors are amazed at the improvement of my health and so am I.

35+ years smoking, most of them on unfiltered hand rolled, around 30 / day. Got an ecig. For two days I smoked during the day but vaped only in the evenings. On the third day my beloved hand rolls tasted foul and at 6.10 pm I smoked my last. That was almost seven weeks ago and I no longer even think about cigarettes. Truly a revelation.

Two weeks, for me. NEVER thought it would be as easy as it was and still is. I just tapered
off with vaping in between and on day 14, the 1st of December, I thought I would
just give a whole day a try....without any analogs. Just a try.....
And here I am a little over 6 months later....still giving it a try, and it's still working.
Never again....never!!
And they want to try and ban ecigs....what idiots.

I got my e-cig around 5pm and had a few cigs that night while I was tinkering around with the e-cig. The next morning I had another cig with my coffee just because I was afraid that the e-cig wouldn't be enough to keep me sane. I decided to just see how long I could go that day without smoking a tobacco cig.... turns out I could go all day! ....and the next day! ....and the next, and the next, and the next, and the next, and the next, and the next.....
