Hey everyone,
I was looking at the 310vapers Hornet RBA and noticed that only the pink and violet options have a bottom feeder available. I was wondering how hard and/or how often the other colors are updated with the bottom feed option. Also, is 310vapers the only place that sells the colored versions of Hornets? I really want to get a rebuildable and love the look of the Hornet and Chalice, but honestly, the Chalice is a little too pricey. Any thoughts?

I have a violet one I got from 310 . It is the darkest one next to black. I'm interested in getting more but noone else sells it here in the US. We should do a co-op! These guys from the Philippines sells it -http://myvape.in/international/index.php/hornet-colored.html

Oh wow, thanks for the link. Is this site only for co-op/bulk purchases? Also, I'd actually love to do a reos-mods member co-op for the Hornets...maybe I should start a thread here and see what everyone says. What do you think?

For anyone coming across this thread and thinking about purchasing a Hornet from the above MyVape.in site, I just got a response about shipping costs (they are international). Anything under 30kg is approximately $60 dollars to the United States. However, if ordered in bulk, there is a substantial decrease in the shipping costs.

Don't think I'll be ordering one since shipping will double the cost, but buying in bulk is something to consider.

I spoke to Matt 2 weeks ago regarding restocking of colored Hornets and he said "several weeks" as they need to clear customs. And FYI the colored Hornets are Aluminum not SS! If you want SS you can get them at Indyvapor with no wait! I have both and found the SS more durable. The colored ones are nice but softer metal and I have had a hard time taking cover on and off.

Thanks for the response. Also with the colored ones, does the color come off or wear off after some time? I'm thinking about getting a stainless version from indyvapor anyways.

It is anodized same as a REO so if you nick it, drop it etc yes it will leave a mark. I scraped off a little the first time I used it trying to take the cover off. I learned from my mistake so eveytime I take the cover off ( need to use needle nose pliers) I use a little leather stip to insulate the pliers from metal. Occasionally I take a black sharpie and color the little marks I made because it bugs me! SS pretty much will look good on anything and is much more durable and I found them easier to remove the top. Just my opinion.

I removed the top o-ring on Hornets and used olive oil; just a tiny bit as it's not a good vape if it gets on your wick or in your juice. Now I'm using non-toxic silicone grease. (All my ERAs have been loose from start but not any of the Hornets {1st SS Hornet I slightly damaged Hornet and my back getting the d*mn cap off}; note multiples of each purchased at different times so it's not just a "one" experience.) (It helps to soak Hornet in ice water for about an hour to help get cap off.

Hornets - Red, Gold, Stainless Steel, Grey (not quite as bluish as shows in picture), Blue, Violet, {big pic} Gold. Not shown is Orange, if it exist, but the "bamboo" DT, sitting on Mini Woodvil, is same maker and it is orange, and not shown Pink, and Torched. Colors are Anodized Aluminum but SS base just like comes with SS and Torched SS.

Little trick I found worked for me as they were a B~~~~ to get apart when they arrived. Just used an old battery from my junk box and a little wiggle pull technique with it threaded into something solid to pull against. If the battery pulls apart no loss not like I'm wrecking a Reo.

I use an old EGO battery to screw the Hornet on to pull off the top. I also use a strip of leather between my needlenose pliers and the hornet so I don't leave marks on the Hornet, especially the colored aluminum ones, they mark very easily.

Simply use one of the buffing wheels that comes with your Dremel tool. Coat it lightly with a fine abrasive, (I use fine valve lapping compound) and polish the inside of the cap for twenty-seconds or so. It will put an end to this common problem.

Jack

Jack does that mean you got rid of the 2 burly guy's and the small child you used before to get them apart :D
