how I dry my cartos after cleaning....

I got tired of my cartos falling over and not drying for days after cleaning....I do throw some away...but there are some worth cleaning...so I took an old plastic lid (from a margarine container, or large yogurt..etc)..cut some slits or x's in it with a utility knife..stuck my cartos thru it ..and set it on my heater vent....I just left them there all night and they were dry in the am...but I am sure it wouldn't take that long...and they didn't fall over and have me searching for them...it ain't pretty..but, it works for me...lol

I dont know why you want to go through all that trouble when you can buy a pack of 5 for $6.50 .
They last a week -/+ anyways and even if you dry them good they will not be as good as new.

I use the ego mega dual coil cartos, they're about $2.79 a piece so I try to recycle them as much as I can and use the boiling method to clean them.

I found putting them in the oven at 200 degrees works pretty well! I had them in there for about 2 hours, but I'll bet they were probably dry after an hour or so. I just put them on their side in a cake pan and it worked perfectly.

I have had luck putting the cartos in the oven at 180 degrees for 20 mins

Hey Debb... I tried your method and WOW... it worked! I clean my cartos by boiling and have always had good luck with them. I cut the x's in a lid, put the wet cartos in and put em on the heater vent in the bathroom. It's hidden under the sink so my hubby wouldn't see them and ask me if I'm crazy (again!) Great idea!!!

I turkey baster and then leave them thread side up to dry...that and some shaking the remaining water out. then leave it to sit again and usually they're good to go.

I use a syringe with tube connectors using very hot distilled water then push air through them several times, and the last push I use a shot of vodka then push air thru a few more times...the vodka gets all the water out and I can fill them immediately...works great on my mega xxl dual coil smoktek cartos as well as my small ones too. If you want to dry them out after the vodka more, use those big paper(binding) clips, you can buy them in all different sizes and they're perfect for holding up cartos!
