So I really like my PT2 on my regulated mod. IMO it performs very decently.

Not claiming to be an expert here, but thought I'd share my rebuild procedure for those who are itching to play around with them.

Hope this helps somebody!

Nice video Bro!! I am sure this would be very good info for the new builders.
The Drill method is nice but I would lose track for sure. And I get all cross eyed trying to count micros.. lol. Maybe putting a mark on drill to keep track of the full rotations might help.
But 30min video on pt2 rebuild is by far the longest one yet. Either way kudos to you bro!
One tip I would add is that with 12 wraps it gets a bit crowded in there.. I would attempt this with less wraps with different awg wire and get same resistance to avoid shorts with body and chimmy of pt2. I usually shoot for 8-10 but I also prefer lower resistance.
Take your build and try on a kayfun lite plus and you will find your pt2 in the desk drawer.

Yea, counting the coils on 30+ gauge can be tough. As far as marking position of the wire while wrapping, the leg of the 90 degree bend in the chuck is what I use for an indicator.

12 wraps of 30 gauge does get a bit snug, but still leaves plenty of room. If the coil is tight and properly spaced, it's not much of an issue.

I wish I could afford a KFL... :(

Dude, turn down the heat in there, your clock is melting!!

Wish I could! :)

The heat's blaring out of this old PowerEdge server which is crunching numbers for our Folding at Home team. :D

You should hear this beast when her fans spin up to speed.
