either extract the juice out with a syringe, then dry burn... Or, hold the tank horizontally so the wick is out of the juice. then dry burn til the wick dries out, then youll see your coils start to glow. check for inconsistencies and adjust accordingly.

How do I go about checking for hot spots when I already put juice in the tank?
well i could tell simply from the fact the coil was glowing red in places and no vapor came out of other spots
im not sure if that would work in a minor case, maybe only the extreme hotpots i manage to create

as much as it sucks i empty the tank, leaving even a little liquid in a genesis for dry burns made the liquid turn nasty colored for me
I have gotten by with tweeking a hotspot w/out emptying the tank in dim lighting, but it's not a reliable method for sure. Emptying the tank w/a syringe is pretty quick & easy after you get used to doing it. Easy peazy. Occasional dry burning your coil is good maintenence.
I use tweezers to isolate and make bends at the base and to configure its top 1mm off center post
then I ohm it out
it appears to me your lower ohms reading is from a grounding short on the base
loose connection or ss wick short ><
juice makes that even worse
your coil needs a crimping
the distance from your top post to coil and wick is huge
square coils are kewl

learned yesterday to get best possible center coil
short legs make a huge difference
bonus is the seasoning and mine taste better than metalic tasting vape
as previously posted toooooo much coil off wick
ymmv if dirty in there and short to center post
if you get it right its awesome
cleanest flavor, not my opinion its well known
