how is the gp paps?

ive got a brass and stainless steel nemesis. i was thinking about buying a gp paps clone. how is it cmpared to the nemesis? better or just the same? if its the same im not going to even waste my money.

I have a SS Nemesis (hcigar) and love it. It was my first mech. I got a GP this week and its very nice. The switch throw is short and silky smooth, much nicer than my Nemesis even with magnets. I ordered the 18650 last night. Both from FT.

I can't speak for the clone. I do have a Paps 2.5, tho.

The Paps and Nemesis are completely different beasts. With its recessed button, the Paps has a switch that takes roughly 0.0000001 calories to engage. A very light, very short throw. With the Nemesis' protruding button, you have to compromise. Either have it stiff enough to stand without firing. Or, if you want a lighter throw, you need to lock it every time you set it down.

The brass one is excellent. The stainless is kinda crappy. They're made by two different manufacturers so they're not the same quality.

my brass came in... and i really like it.
at the same time i got the copper stingrayX
and it is nice too.. stingrayx has a user friendlier locking ring lol.

anyway.. the gp paps is real nice too, way better than the chi you i owned...
so i bought the GP paps v3! it's not even shipped yet.
and my understanding is it's leaps and bounds better than the clone.

I needed two clones for throwing in the purse, taking to the beach.. etc.


as far as the Paps clone..
i will say it's nice. recessed firing button so you don't have to lock it every time you set it down. three tubes for different sizes.
i have mine kicked with a fast tech clone kick. and it sits flush with my carto's and sophia... the magma woudln't sit flush.
it does have a spring and is not magnetic like the sting ray.

and my ibtank 22mm carto tanks sit flush on the sting ray, not as flush on the Paps clone.

these two clones make the chi you look and feel like a big bulky paper weight.

I used to love my nemesis and still do but once I got my brass paps from fasttech everything changed, it is the best mod so far, I don't know if I could ever get a better button that that one

Hmmm....all my tanks sit flush. Did you adjust the 510 screw? I have to adjust mine when I switch tanks.

I'm thrilled with the FT Paps clone. The switch is so good, it's actually helping me save money. Anytime I think about buying a different mod, I ask myself if it's likely to be better than the Paps. Since the answer is "no" I don't buy the other thing.

I'm reading through all the reviews, trying to convince myself not to order it, that I don't need it (I don't), but you guys are ruining that for me.
After almost a year of avoiding tube mods, I finally gave in and ordered a sentinel m16 clone to try it out because it was crazy cheap. I actually really love it, especially in 18350 mode. But the paps looks so much better... So pretty... must have...

I mean if you are even thinking about it...
just do it.

i don't think you'll regret it
i had been eyeing the M16 myself for awhile...
glad i chose the paps clone.
now i have the clone, and the original.
and i'm very happy with both purchases.
