Tuesday will be 2 weeks for me with no analogs. I vape a lot though. Usually go through 7-10 mill a day . Anyways, how long after quitting smoking? Because I still feel the same way I did when I was smoking and I'm only vaping on anywhere between, 2.4 nic to 3 nic. I quit to feel better and do far I haven't been feeling better

It might depend on how many you smoked, how long you did that for and how run down you were from smoking that much for that long. I smoked for some decades. I started feeling better immediately. The cough went away first, which was interesting. Another thing, healing from smoking has been a long process, what I imagine it might be from a significant injury. A lot of healing happens in the first 6 weeks and less and less continuing healing for 18 months to 2 years and after that what ever is left you're stuck with. I suspect a long time smoker experiences something similar.

I smoked 5-10 a day, sometimes a pack. For the past 5-6 years. Im only 21. But I just haven't felt that much better. Maybe I'll just have to give it more time

It really takes 3-4 months before you can honestly say, "I am starting to feel Better".

IN fact, at about 3-4 weeks, you may actually feel worst, much worst, then you had anticipated. This is because your body is in a sate of shock of NOT having to deal with all the chemicals it had gotten so used to.

At about 6 months, you`ll notice your sense of smell coming back and you`ll be amazed at what you were missing. The sense of smell continues to get better and better every day you don`t smoke and at a year, it truly is a blessing, to smell things you never even noticed.

At about a year, you`ll notice the craving for the old habit are much more subdued, if not non existent.

And don`t worry about juice use, 10 mils a day is perfectly normal for an ex smoker.

BOL, :?)

I'm not saying you have this problem, but something all new vapors should know is that some people have sensitivities to either PG or VG, for me it's VG. Just mentioning this as it's something to look into if you want to be an informed vaper.
I can already breathe better, but idk. My adnoids have been swollen for a while and I have bad drainage and this nasty taste in my throat all of the time but maybe that's way. Has definelty gotten better since vaping

I think a lot of it depends on what is causing you to feel bad? Vaping isn't a miracle cure. Maybe you should see your doctor.

The only difference I have experienced is losing the morning cough almost immediately and I found out that a lot of things in life don't smell very good and others smell even better than I thought they did. I used to get a cold a couple of times a year and haven't had even the sniffles in well over 4 years now. BTW: I have been vaping for 4 1/2 years.

I saw my doctor on Thursday and he told me he is very glad that I decided to quit the stickies and start vaping. He told me he would much rather have me vape than smoke haha

It's great that you have a doctor like that. Hang on to him. I think I am finally convincing mine to start changing her mind :D

Depends how you define it I suppose - me an old smokin'man for 50 years plus , I mentally felt better on the Monday after I started vaping on the Friday when the realisation dawned on me that I got through a weekend without smoking and without cravings whereas on the NRT Smoking Cessation Courses I'd been on previously the longest I'd gone was six weeks and I'd spent every damned waking minute thinking about how much I wanted to smoke.

Within a month physically I'd stopped coughing and had more air and could walk further. Within two months my blood pressure had gone down.

I can only speak for myself however...but the greatest bang I got was finding I was no longer enslaved to smoking...

Please consult your personal Physician on this matter. It likely has no correlation to Vaping, however in general is not a sign of good health. Properly addressing the issue can only lead to better health.

I quit smoking nearly 4 years ago and I'm still waiting to feel like I did before I started smoking...44 years ago when I was 18.

My sense of smell started coming around 2 months in and I was breathing a bit better after just a couple of weeks. Sadly most of the damage from smoking those 40 years is probably not repairable.

Congratulations on quitting at a young age.

Thank you! I just hope it isn't to late to make up for my poor decisions

~and~

As you can see, Newtothevapelyf3, there are as many answers to your questions as there are vapers.

If I'm reading your post correctly, though, you're ingesting one bodacious amount of nicotine, especially for someone who smoked so little and for such a brief period.

7-10 milliliters per day of 2.4 to 3.0 mg./ml. is more than most vapers can take. For instance, I was a three-pack-per-day smoker for 47 years, and I started with 3 ml. per day of 24 mg./ml. I had to dial that down to 16 mg./ml. within a couple of months: that amount was giving me heart palpitations and headaches, both symptoms of nicotine overdosage.

I suggest you reduce the nicotine concentration.
