Hi everybody,

I started vaping maybe three weeks ago, at 8mg nicotine, and all has been well -- haven't had a smoke in that time. Last night I got an order of E-juice at 12mg (they only had 12mg and 6mg, so I was afraid of going down and opted for 12mg) and had a bit of an OD episode -- sweating, heart-beats, and the rest. I stopped vaping, it calmed down, and fell asleep a couple of hours later.

This morning, however, I got up and had just a small blast or two and very quickly my symptoms came back. My question is: how long does it take before the symptoms go away entirely? I did order some 6mg juice right after it happened, but I'm stuck with the 12mg for now. Again, I haven't seen a clear answer on the question of how long one should anticipate the symptoms to last before they can go back to what they were doing before -- if perhaps at a slightly lower vape-rate.

Thanks.

Symptoms should clear within minutes if you do not overdo it too much.

You now know 12 is too high for you. Do not vape too much.
Take a vape or 2 and wait 5 or 10min.
Put the vape down and take a breather.
Do not vape like a chimney and you'll be fine.
You should be able to notice the signs before
you get overdone. STOP THEN!!! Cheers.

Edit...If you go back doing what you were doing before you will feel ill again.

Go to walmart or cvs and find glycerine...something like this:
gycerine.jpeg

Will cost less than $4. Add about 2/3 of yours to 1/3 of the gycerine. If it is too thick add just a drop or 2 of distilled water and shake well.

This will lower your 12mg to 8 mg but will also dilute the flavor. I had problems with a little OD when I started and this is what I did. I usually just waited until I felt "normal" before I started vaping again. I was a chain smoker, so I didn't wait long.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Is it abnormal to still feel it the next day? Or for a little puff to bring it back maybe 9 hours later?
Next day.. sounds like the flu. Over vaping should only last about 30 minutes to 2 hours. It won't kill you, just make you feel jittery and nauseous and like your heart is racing a bit. I used to end up doing it all the time from practicing at blowing clouds. Then i got the idea of using 0mg for that.. prob solved. LOL.
If you can find the same flavor locally in a 0mg and mix them, that will give you 6. Some flavors you can mix, like apple and butterscotch ripple. Tastes like candy apples. Fruit explosion was good with that too.. mostly apple and pear. Or just close your air flow some and lower your wattage a bit. Smaller puffs = less nicotine.
